Franchise quarterbacks are worth their weight in gold, he'd find a suitor even on the franchise tag.

Dak's agent then advises him not to sign the tender and you're left with Cooper Rush as your starting QB. Who blinks first?

Jerry and then he started selling those ridiculous Zeke who shirts.

uhmmm, yeah, his suitor would be the Cowboys, since the Franchise tag removes your free agent status. Im not sure what you are trying to say.

I'm saying I envision at least 1 team would be willing to send 2 1sts.

wed be left with...............................................Dak Prescott, with the Franchise tag. And no qb , or player would sit out and leave close to 30 million on the table. His agent would need to be examined if that was the case.

Yet Dak wouldn't even be average without the team that is around him.
There are a lot of quarterbacks who would love to play behind this lineup.
If Dak were in Cleveland he'd already have been out of the league by now.

Well yeah I mean I like Dak a lot, he was always my 2016 draft QB target. However, he has a top 3 WR corp, a top 3 OL, a top 3 RB and a HOF TE. Most QBs aren't so fortunate.

By now, it's likely that the Dallas FO knows Dak's negotiating clout is getting better each week. They're doing their best to sign him well before it reaches untold heights. Meanwhile, Dak and his agent are biding their time, knowing that many millions will be forthcoming in the near future. I'm not worried in the slightest, knowing full well that it's their money and not mine. At the same time, Dak knows that his performances must continue if he's destined to merit the riches that await him. In the wonderful world of pro football, though, it's merely business as usual. Ya gotta share the wealth, like it or not! o_O

By the way, let Dak drop back down to earth this week like McCafrey did, and go 17-31 with 179 yards, 1 TD and 1 pick and lets see how the narrative on Dak changes. Dont think it can happen? Did you watch Rodgers last week?

The Bears defense is not the Commanders defense. Also, Coop and Dak have roasted the Commanders defense alive before.

Not surprising after his performance last week. His agent figures if he can keep this up, that contract is about to get a whole lot bigger.

As a fan, it’s a weird position to be in because you obviously want Dak to play as well as possible and for the Cowboys to win every game, but you don’t want that contract to keep going up and destroy your cap space.

When is the last time you saw a team trade the QB that they felt was their franchise QB that is YOUNG?

When was the last time a franchise QB made it to a contract year without a contract? I don't think it's ever happened before. Other than maybe Kirk Cousins, who I don't think is at Dak's level. Or Tom Brady but he's perpetually renegotiating his terms with the Patriots.

Jerry isnt sweating anything. He is spending whatever the cap is each year. Only thing that changes is who is getting the bigger piece of the pie. People make it like the cowboys are holding out because they dont want to spend the money.

And Amari is also taking his time as the WR market is also rising.
WR market is done rising. Julio is done, Thompson is done. Nobody else at that level is due anytime soon. So that Market has reached its peak for probably 2 years.

QBs, francshise QBs always get deals done on the last year of their current year. This is nothing new. You seem to make it like Dak is an unrestricted free agent.... he is not.
