But he still hasn't faced any real teams yet. You know... actual NFL teams that can win on any given Sunday? He hasn't played any of them yet. When Dak beats the All Madden team then we'll know something, but until then I don't want to hear any more about these "fake" passer rating stats.

Most ring tappers fall into the above view points...lol. I'm not buying the all is a mirage rap.

Good for Dak, but it's the opposite of "amazing for a guy who just turned 25." Passer rating goes up every year: the leader list favors young guys who didn't play back when the averages were lower and who haven't hit the decline phase of their career yet. Mahomes will vault to the top next year when he hits the minimum number of attempts.

If you look at passer rating since he entered the league, he's 8th among guys with 500+ attempts (Garoppolo and Lamar Jackson are also ahead of him).

Thanks for the context.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but based on the first few posts of utter stupidity it's worth noting the career attempts of those on that list:

9,831 Drew Brees
9,481 Tom Brady
5,638 Aaron Rodgers
3,366 Russell Wilson
1,569 Dak Prescott

Once again, this is classic Dak Boyz limp-brain analysis. Nobody disputes Dak is having a nice start to this season. But we have to now listen to these idiots try to act like sample size doesn't matter; as if somehow a QBR based off just 1,569 attempts is on the same level of impressiveness as one based off 9,831 attempts.

yesterday Dak passed Brees and Brady in all time passer rating

1 Rodgers 103.1
2 Wilson 100.9
3 Prescott 98.0
4 Brady 97.8
5 Brees 97.7

whatever else can be said ... that's amazing for a guy who just turned 25

I'm happy as hell that Prescott is doing so well this season but even grade schoolers can see the obvious here. For Brady and Brees to have that high of passer rating after 19+ seasons and 71K plus pass attempts to Prescott's 11K pass attempts tells the story. The same thing if you look at just this season the 2 highest passer ratings, one has just 6 attempts and the other just 26 attempts. It's way way way way way tougher to keep that passer rating high the more passes you attempt.

Era Adjusted
(active players, min 1,000 att)
1 Rodgers
2 Brady
3 Brees
4 Wilson
5 Rivers
6 Roethlisberger
7 Prescott
8 Ryan
9 Cousins
10 Shaub

Adjusted for era, among all QB who ever played, Dak ranks 43rd.
Wow, that actually sounds really good to me for a QB in just his fourth year.

Wilson was a great selection, but he was pick #75.

Dak was pick #135.

And he’s won a ton of playoff games a super bowl and nearly another. All the while they strip him of talent

Wilson won a lot of playoff games including a Super Bowl when Seattle had the Legion of Boom defense and Marshawn Lynch.

Dak outplayed him in their playoff matchup last January.

I watched the 4th quarter of the Packers game the other day and Rodgers got the ball back, down 7 points with about 3-1/2 minutes remaining and the drive ended with a turnover in the endzone.

Rodgers has been a Cowboys killer but his ability to win games just never seems to match his "rating".

What happened to Jimmy Graham with the Packers? I have not looked at his stats but when I've watched him with Green Bay he seems to drop a lot passes that are right in his hands.

It would be fun to have a time machine and the ability to go back and swap QBs on some teams.

Romo or Rodgers in New England...how many Super Bowl wins?

Tom Brady in Dallas with no other changes (i.e. Garrett as OC then HC, etc..).
