The Saints defense first goal was shutting Zeke down and daring Dak to beat them with his arm. Their defense did a great job of masking their coverage and it totally unraveled Dak. Dak’s poor pocket awareness really hurt the Cowboy’s offense as well.
Exactly

These homers are blind. Dak CAN NOT beat good teams when the run-game is shut down unless the defense saves his arse.

Looking at all of his wins against good teams, the only one that he “won” was ironically against NO last year, and that was more on the defense than him

Dak was below-average going into this year, he upgraded to average after the first 3 weeks, now he's just back to being who he really is.

To be fair, he played really bad last night, but so did everyone else on offense (including the coaching staff). I'll give him a pass on this game and see what he does to make up for it against the Packers.

Don't say it's one game.

He beat up and bullied easy teams. As soon as a real big dog comes around, he bends and folds.

I been saying we better not handicap ourselves to this fool.

I hope you all see it now.

I respect your opinion but I just don't agree. Dak is a better than average QB. He's not elite, which you want but there are just a few of those. Dak tries to be careful with the football and last night what I saw was a well prepared defense that made every throw pretty contested. He's not 100% accurate I agree but I've only seen a couple QB's in my lifetime that were. He made some plays last night as well, don't dismiss them. Had Witten not fumbled, we might've won the game. Stuff happens. Hang in there, I see a QB that is determined, works hard and has grown. Now if we are just talking about $. I don't know but Dak as a person/player, he's fine by me until you magically pull another guy off the tree that is worlds better. <good luck with that>....

This is exactly the type of game I said to look out for when it finally happens, and just to see if he managed to make enough throws to help get a win. Run game stuffed all night and Dak looked poor, a result we've seen too many times before.

Well they stacked the run so you would think Prescott would take advantage of that

I'm not reading this whole thread, but do you have evidence "they stacked the run?" I'm assuming you mean the Saints had 8+ in the box when the Cowboys ran the ball. I noticed that happening exactly once all game, and it was a delayed 8 man, meaning it was 7 before the snap but as soon as the ball was snapped I saw a safety come run into view towards the LOS.

They were bringing a safety all game.

So, tell us ALL how Dak singlehandedly lost this game then. And, provide absolute facts (such as receivers were running wide open, the line was blocking well, etc..............). As a matter of fact, I'd ask Willie "I MISS DEZ SO MUCH I'LL NEVER REPLACE HIM AS MY AVATAR" Beamen, PappyDog, and all the other Dak haters to tell me how he lost this game as well - with facts.
The only fact that matters is the score. The score shows that the Dallas defense was very good, and the score also reflects how bad that the offense was playing.

***damn, some of you really are stupid:)
I was thinking the same thing. Some of these crazy people are defending the QB that severely struggled to come close to 200 yards passing. The same QB that missed an easy throw , which would have won the game if it was anywhere near Cobb. How can any poster be stupid enough to defend it?

The D gave up 12 points, 266 yards total. Average per play was 4.3 for the Saints last night. The Saints averaged 321.2 yards per game, 5.5 yards per play and 21 pts per game, and thats with this game added in so all of those numbers were better coming into Sunday's game.

I don't know how anybody could look at this contest and say that the D didn't play exceptionally well, under the circumstances. I'd take those numbers from the D every single week if I could get them.

Why should Dak go poor? Jerry backed up the Brink’s truck to pay mediocre Zeke and average Lawrence like stud players. Give Dak as much per year as the other two combined. Last night proved he’s awesome and worth it.

Hey, what qb leads the nfl in Total QBR right now?

Close this idiotic thread.
Who did they play the first 3 games? I don't want to interfere with your paper tiger assessments, but Prescott has got to show that he can deliver the goods whenever he DOESN'T have ten seconds to get the ball going to the right place accurately and with anticipation. Until he does that, at least in my opinion, he simply isn't worth what talking heads are saying he should get.

The Dallas Cowboys have fooled me for the last time with their jocular, Jekyll and Hyde act. The zombie offense was supposed to be a thing of the past, but what did we see in New Orleans? Some really funky football against a team they should've beaten. Like I've said before, the list of who to blame for this vacillating, vaudevillian-challenged construction should be really frigging short following Sunday night.

If you blame Dak, Zeke or Cooper for that loss then you are either bias with a Troll agenda or you truly don’t understand football.

Anyone with eyes and is at least in the 3rd grade or above who watches that game would clearly see that our offensive line was completely dominated. They played close to the line, jammed us, tightened the field. Our play calling was not able to adjust and neither was our offensive line.

I bet you are happy the offense got beaten up last night. Gives you trolls something to troll about.
To be fair, there was a whole lot of crowing and calling out the Dak haters after three great starts. Even when the so-called Dak haters said wait until better competition, the Dak supporters weren't hearing it. There were call-out posts in abundance. And you could tell - or at least I could - that when Dak faltered, the tables would reverse.

So I say turnabout is fair play. If you're going to call people out after three great performances against weaker teams, be ready to get called out when Dak doesn't do well against a good team.
