Most damning stat of Garrett

I think this is the stat that defines exactly what Garrett is...............Nothing great.

In a league of parody, and with plenty of talent on the roster since Garrett has been here, his record against winning teams stands out.

One thing to beat losing teams when you have more talent. But to beat the better teams with equal or better talent, coaching has to play a part. Either willing your team to a win or preparing them with scheme and unpredictability that will give them the edge

This is EXACTLY what Garrett doesn't provide.

yup would need maybe ALL coaches with 5yrs or more with the same team to comp theres to Garett's..ist the only fair way if not its hollow stat.. we all know garett doesnt truly suck, hes getting 10sins awseason and winning divisions and playoff 2nd round then out..

so hes average but as they say the grass isnt always greener and no guarantees this team doesnt drop off before it gets better once this staff is let go..

so yes a fair comp is VS as many other coaches over 5yrs with same team..that eliminates a ton LOL

Speak for yourself buddy. In case you haven't been paying attention I think its a consensus on here and everywhere that GARRETT DOES SUCK.

Similar to the "Dak has a losing record vs winning teams" stat, when we look around the league we find that most coaches have a losing record vs winning teams.

Why? Because winning teams win more often than they lose.

I'm ready to replace JG, but this isn't the best argument for it. The only coach with a record well over .500 vs winning teams is The Hoodie.

I think Dak and Garett are both Average and do not suck in the slightest BUDDY..

what they can achieve together is not yet written but both are winning a lot of games… the issues is playoff runs but given this is a 12016 rebuild its still in play..

Im not saying JG time is way overdue for being fired but while hes here, he is at least winning games and until hes not no amount of new coach threads or whining, crying, or wishful thinking will change that BUD..
it is what it is and your post is hollow without all teams and HC stats to go with it..its reality's.. you picked one with no true comps woth enough to make it a valid stat..

In Tampa for example, I have seen billboard advertisements taken out by a fan talking about how the HC needed to get fired. He was fired not long after. These are the types of things that need to happen here.

his coaching tree has few branches. look at the trees of jimmy and parcells. many of their assistants and coordinators went on to be hc's. not garrett. either he doesn't recognize good assistants, or they don't want to work for him. i'm not counting the most recent acquisitions who were brought in by Stephen.

Noone is fighting change in this department but again Garett has winning record over 10 yrs but over the last 3+ with this new current team 10 win avg per season doesnt SUCK..thats the reality..hes avg sure but worse then average is possible regardless who you bring in..

Actually this has always been an issue with him dating back to his first 3-5 years of as a head coach. Someone posted the same record about 4-5 years ago with pretty much the same issues. Simply put, he does not fare well against winning teams

I agree. there seems little sense in arguing who is the worst coach. I am only concerned with the best.
