I watched part of season 1 of the British version. It was exactly like the US version including the script. I checked wiki and it looks like the US version diverged from the original as the seasons went on.

I saw the original UK version and thought it was okay, but I thought the US version was way better. The US version just seems better made and better directed.

both are good, but the us version has a higher production value for sure.
