As a nurse, I have to correct this treatment. The flu is a virus, and you don't treat viruses with antibiotics. Antivirals, like Tamilflu, is what is needed!! Ok....now you can go back to your regularly scheduled program. LOL :p
We need a colonoscopy, stat! Time to rid the BS we trot out there as a game plan. Time to implement a working plan for each team.

I’m usually the “glass is half full” fan. Or if I was Jameis, “full because of air on top of the half full glass”... whatever.

But honestly, after losing the way we did to the Jets, and now the Vikings, this 5-4 feels hollow.

I know why it feels hollow. All our weaknesses continually being exploited with little to no adjustments, especially against the better teams.

Guess I’m still holding out hope for a resurgence like we saw after going 3-5 last season.

It feels hollow because we know that this coaching staff is not good and even if we somehow make the playoffs it will be one and find with no realistic chance

nothing will change till Garrett the moron leaves

How much better would this team be if wed actually rotate out some of the lesser producing players and started playing the likes of:

Jordan Lewis, Donovan Wilson, Joe Looney or Su-a'fillo, Luke Gifford, Pollard and so on?

I know some of these guys are getting some run but Im sick of seeing the same guys on the field floundering. This doesn't however mean I want to bench Zeke for example. I just want to see what these other players have to offer when what we are doing isn't working.

I think we have some quality guys that aren't getting enough of an opportunity while some of the starters are underperforming.

Romo was wrong, the Cowboys are far from a meritocracy.

We need to find another Cooper, I guess.

We really don't know that for certain. Sure, some of these guys look good in the limited snaps we see them in, but they might look really bad in practice, leading the coaches to think they've just been lucky in games.

That's true, I just dont have any faith in these coaches. We are maddeningly slow to make adjustments.

While it is odd to feel so down about being in first place in the division, I agree that this feels like an "empty" 5-4.

The Cowboys should have beaten the Saints, Jets, and Vikings. Period. Dallas should be 8-1 and they have underachieved.

Losing to the Vikings is just as hard to take as losing to the Jets. Mainly because the performances of Dak, Cooper, and Cobb was wasted away by inept coaching at the end of the game.

Because both teams (Rams and Dallas) have way too talented rosters to be 5-4. That's ridiculous and both teams should be ashamed.
The cowboys have arguably 10 players on there roster who have been pro bowl quality in the 12 months

Way too much talent to be an above average team. Especially with question mark players like Dak and La'el Collins both having a career year (you not only have talent but you have question marks playing lights out, how the hell are you 5-4 ???)

Not as hard to take losing to Vikings for me. The Cowboys played very well in that game (minus some defensive lapses) against a real contender. The Jets are a friggin' joke and the Cowboys should still be embarrassed by that performance.

That game was so within reach, which is what makes it so hard to take for me.

Normally I would be psyched and still feel optimistic about the cowboys when they are tied for the lead in their division.

truth be told. I look at their schedule and the eagles schedules. I still think it’s a coin flip between the cowboys and eagles to win the division. The cowboys are more than capable of doing so.

yet, I still too feel depressed about everything that has transpired.

it’s the underachieving that bothers me.
