Treating bipolar disorder with marijuana would be a pretty dumb thing to do as many of the symptoms associated with the disorder would only be made worse by the affects of smoking.
Randy Gregory needs serious help.

Ill quit on errbody...BS. I've never done drugs, other than alcohol. But, I've had plenty of coaches and players that have had issues with it. You dont quit on them unless you're a holy roller or just a perfect person that would never have a loved one go through those issues.
Well it depends.....at some point in the near future I think the NFL will have to rethink how they handle guys smoking weed.

Teams are very limited on what they can say to the media/fans in these situations.
I don't think Gregory is Bi-Polar; however, I know a guy that should be treated with marijuana.
The guy that I know has extreme ADHD. He was probably in his forties when I met him.
He is a plumber and does not often smoke week and definitely not when working.
He has some method that he uses to function that seems similar to Rainman repeating things to himself.
A guy that has known him since High School told me that his personality becomes very normal when he smokes weed.
Eventually I did see when when he was smoking weed and the difference was incredible.
He was very much like a "normal" person.
His attention span was more than the normal 30 seconds before he gets distracted.
His normal non-stop chattering was gone and he could have a normal conversation.
I've never quit on anything or anyone, except for Garrett, cuz he sucks!Ill quit on errbody...

Lesson learned. You never take a chance on a person that has a substance abuse issue. It's an addiction. Injuries and attitudes can all be remedied, but addictions are hard to deal with. Gregory is a great talent but where is he? I too have to think it's more than weed.

You also dont use a premium draft pick on them. I understand your point though. There is nothing wrong with rolling the dice, but you have to limit the risk.
True, bit no need to talk crap about people that struggle with addiction. Unless, they are causing harm to others, then all bets are off!!!You also dont use a premium draft pick on them. I understand your point though. There is nothing wrong with rolling the dice, but you have to limit the risk.
Its all risk vs reward. Would you use a pick at the very end of the 2nd round for a guy with a 30% chance of being DeMarcus Ware?
I would do it every time and that was basically what the Cowboys did with Gregory.
And a sane and dedicated Rolando McClain.Same with Irving. Imagine how good the defense will be if we had Irving and Gregory added to the dline. David Irving was a beast at DT.
