As a long time fan since 1962 I can't recall ever being so disgusted with a team. I've had a number of disappointments for sure but can't recall ever feeling so disgusted with a situation. We start slow and rally and make a game of it and everyone says we need to get off to a fast start so last 2 games we march down the field and look an all world team and then we fall apart. I just don't get it! We look like we are unprepared... have no in game adjustments... we don't think on our feet... we have poor execution... poor special teams... a kicker that should never have been signed and certainly should have been cut weeks ago and yet everyone says how talented we are.

I honestly think everyone on this team has given up. Garrett looks more dead than ever. Even Richard "the fiery DC" looks done. Our players sulking on the sidelines (did you see our defense after the first half on the sideline?). Bennett laying on the ground after missing a tackle. Dak missing and not caring. I honestly don't think they care. I think they're aware they're done, they just can't come out and say it.

I started with this team in the 1960s too. We'ave had some really bad years like towards the end of the Landry era. The 1-15 debacle in 1989, I believe. But the end of the Landry era was preceded by 20 years of winning seasons, a few trips to the Super Bowl and some quality football. We were competitive for a long time. But this season is different. The disappointment is stronger after having higher expectations. I did not expect the Cowboys to win 12 games this year but I thought they could be competitive. The last two weeks I saw a team that was not competitive. Its the way Dallas plays that is disappointing. The poor tackling is just unacceptable from players who get paid a lot of money.

You must have bought the hype. That's the only way you can be that disgusted with them. This was going to happen eventually. 7 years too late.

I'm usually pretty good at sticking it out through even the rough seasons. This year I'm feeling super over it. I literally wasn't even mad last night at that loss. I'm just no longer going to sink any emotions into this team with this Garrett-led coaching staff. It's been 9 years of this. I don't care if that makes me a "bad fan" or a "quitter" or whatever you're thinking. If you want to cheer on that garbage we saw last night, feel free.

I'll obviously still be around and be a Cowboys fan but until there is a coaching change, I'm mentally checked out.

Look at it this way. When Jerry bought this team they were going through a 10 year SB dry spell and it seemed like it was going to last forever. It has now been a quarter century. Fans deserve to be pissed. We are on the same level as Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati with no end in sight.

This is worse than 8-8 for three years in a row. They will not win another game this year.

I was disgusted in the latter 80's but this is close. What disgusts me now is the fact that this team has only 3 playoff wins in 25 years. For as storied of a history as the Cowboys have, 25 years without being in a Superbowl is a little over 41% of their entire existence in the NFL.

This team will NEVER really compete for a SB again. These are the reasons:

1. Hollywood atmosphere - how many players have their own show?
2. Too much publicity and public scrutiny - Other teams don't get same coverage it affects the whole team. Does national media call out Matt Ryan and Matt Stafford? Nope
3. Mental toughness - there isn't any
4. Happy to be here. Wearing a start thinks it makes the player a star
5. Its entertainment - from the stadium, to Ford Center, stripper poles. It is not head down and winning
6. Jerry - sorry, thanks for the past SBs, but that era is long gone. It will not matter who he hires as coach, same result will happen

How do you coach without opening your mouth to talk to the players or coordinators? Jason is a hack..when is the last time he went over and talked to the defense during the game or anybody for that matter?

They say he's a motivator..what a joke

1970 is when I could call myself a fan of this team, i literally cried after losing to the Colts. I bought the hype this year and after the first 3 games thought we were on our way. The last straw was seeing Smiths self-promotion last night, dancing around, mugging for the cameras.........this team is all glitz and no substance....I feel bad for the kids born after 1990, they will never see truly great team if we keep trotting out this same product.

Even the 2000’s were better than this. At least, when the coaching/players failed, changes were made. The head coaches we went though were rough but we were not stuck with one. Now, we can’t get a new one and it will be a miracle to get Garrett and the defensive coaches out of Dallas.

He has to go now, I do not want to see a home playoff game just because the off chance Jerry keeps this inept carrot here, that is a risk not worth taking.

Jerry created this cancer in 2007 when he hired Garrett and made him Assistant Head Coach and made it known that Garrett would one day be in charge.
Garrett has never had to earn anything. He was only with the Cowboys because of his dad, and then made head coach despite his offense being the reason for the collapse in 2010.
Jerry needs to cure the cancer he created- cut it out and remove it.

I think it’s worse this year because there is so much broken with this team and no one will do anything to change it. They just keep doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

You know, I was thinking that last night and growing up in Pgh my love for the Cowboys starts with Staubach and Dorsett and the late 70's.

Honestly the most disgusted? Yeah, this season is in the running.

but, they wasted a golden opportunity to put 4 straight SBs on the board when Jerry and Jimmy couldn't co-exist.

Jerry hired Dave Campo. 15 wins in 3 years.

#1 seed in 2007, Wade secured that "playoff win" with his bye, and then was summarily dismissed by the Gmen who they beat twice in the regular season, badly.

with a playoff spot on the line, they were humiliated in Philly 44-6 in 2008.

Jerry trumpeted hosting/playing the SB in 2010. started 1-5, Romo hurt, 6-10.

#1 seed in 2016, came out flat for 2 quarters and lost in divisional round

Building on this young core in 2017, lost home games to Rams and Pack, Elliott suspended, mediocre 9-7.

There's a pattern of disappointment. I can't even list them all

I thought the early 2000's were bad. Been watching and a fan since the 70's. But, damn, this is getting very bad.
