You think it's coaching, but it's deeper than that

-Most penalized team in the league
-Worst avg starting field position in the league
-Most dropped passes in the league
-Defense can't tackle very well
-Defense is having a very tough time with dual threat QBs
-Maher has a very difficult time with 35-50 yard field goals and has costed us at least 2 games
-Jones is the 34th ranked punter (there's 32 teams in the league folks)
-None of the players seem to engage with each other on the sideline anymore (last year they looked like they were having fun and a tight group... even though we started 3-5)

I could go on and on, but I'm just beyond frustrated. Also, Urban Meyer is not the answer in my opinion, that guy has quit on every team he's ever coached for... I don't want that guy near this franchise.

Also, this team needs major upgrades at DT and the Safety positions, or they'll never be more than an average or slightly above average team.

No, those point directly at the coaching staff. After all this time, players are not fully focused or ready for play.

Blame for play, and totally unable to stay in a game with even 50% winning teams, reflects directly upon the coaching staff.

I won't even listen to the schedule was just too tough routines...

Agree but getting penalized is mostly about discipline = coaching
Starting field positions are related to preparation and there were many reports that JG wanted that so called ST coach around.
Tackling definitely look like a lack of strength and results of bad angles = coaching
Maher? I am pretty sure JG has seen him kicking more than the total of us all.

Those are all coaching issues?

It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Sparq scores can't measure heart. We have a player acquisition problem. They not looking for heart they're looking for athletes. I don't want the guy who can run fast and jump high if he can't tackle. But they'll take him in a heartbeat.

1- coaching
2- scheme (decided by coaches)
3- not prepared ( coaches job)
4- willing to accept losing ( again, coaches)

Nice job outlining coaching issues. Thread title needs fixing. Lol

Coaching is part of it. The main problem remains systemic - the culture of the organization.

guys are placed on a pedestal without having accomplished anything of note. Oh, they have some good players, but collectively they’ve accomplished next to nothing.

there is not a shred of accountability. Not when a player jumps offsides, not when a LB regresses terribly in play and demeanor, not when a kicker misses a boatload of kicks. And most certainly not when a GM remains in said position with 3 playoff victories in 20 something years.

It is coaching. This is an alarming thing brought up over the years that JG supporters say isn’t true but..well it is

Another amazing Garrett stat. Part of a very long list of alarming stats. Still amazes me that some don't value experience.. This guy had no business here. A smart coach can win. Be really nice to see again someday!!

Even if that's true, step 1 is cleaning the coaching house. Then we'll work on the remaining problems.

Those are all because of bad coaching. It is coaching, no doubt!!

Here is another question. Since everyone, like Aikman for example, says the Cowboys run a plain vanilla defense with few wrinkles or disguises, shouldn't the execution be a lot better?

the guy who thought Garrett WAS the answer and blindly supported him for 10 years despite glaring evidence to the contrary now thinks Urban Meyer is NOT the answer?

well, sign me up then to support Meyer
