The players have quit on his coaching staff, i think they lose out the rest of the season. So i think ill start looking forward to next season. Something, anything to get my mind off the embarrassment this team is putting out on the field the past couple weeks. Cant even talk bout it so ill talk about some changes?

First and foremost the Coaching needs to be cleared out. I think the only one i could stomach would be Moore staying. Think as the defense is the area with the most need i would love to have a defensive minded coach.

There are two coaches that are dreams for me but most likely wont happen.

1. Bill Belichick, the resume speaks for itself. The greatest of all time.
2. Nick Saban, arguably the greatest college coach of all time.

Now the report of the 3 coaches that are being looked at.(speculation)

1. Urban Meyer Ohio State HC
2. Lincoln Riley Oklahoma HC
3. Tony Elliot Clemson OC

MY preference is Urban, but all 3 are offensive coaches. I just think maybe more emphasis needs to be put on defense. So IMO these 3 if one was chosen would need to get a good all around defensive mind.

Coaching isnt the only thing that needs change. The roster needs change.

QB
Dak, is the present and future QB for this team. Like it or not he's Jones' guy.
Dallas does need to get a better backup, a Vet preferably.
Release,or dont resign
Cooper Rush
RB
Elliot and Pollard are set here. Dallas needs to get a FB.
Release of dont resign
Jamize Olawale FB
WR
Cooper will resign, and Dallas has one of the best #2's in the game with Gallup. After that they got nothing, I dont think Cobb is back. So Dallas would have to bring in some guys or draft. I think they do bring back Noah Brown.
Release of dont resign
Randall Cobb, Tavon Austin, Devin Smith,
TE
Witten will retire for the last time. But the team has its starter in Jarwin who i think the team would be smart to extend now. And they have a nice backup in Schultz. They could probably use another who can come in and compete.
Release of dont resign
Jason Witten
OL
This group is starting to get a little injury prone. Tyron i still say think needs to take a yr off to get his body right. The offseason just doesnt seem to be enough time to get himself right. Zack Martin injury to his back has taken a little bit away from him this yr, But he's already 29, Older than Tyron who is only 28. Martin will be back to normal in 2020. Frederick is not the same he was before his illness but he's better than the majority of the Cs in the NFL. Dallas does need to keep a backup plan here tho, so they will have to spend a little to keep Looney. I think Collins' extension was a great signing for the Cowboys. Williams and McGovern should compete for the start spot at LG. Looney and McGovern/Williams provide solid depth inside but Dallas needs a Swing tackle for depth.
Release of dont resign
Cameron Fleming, Brandon Knight, Xavier Sua-Flio, Adam Redmond
DE
Lawrence will have to return to form in 2020 because doubt Quinn and Bennett are brought back. Gregory probably gets reinstated and Dallas has Armstrong who is a JAG. As are any of the other guys at DE. So Dallas would be smart to go DE early in the draft.
Release of dont resign
Robert Quinn, Michael Bennett, Kerry Hyder
DT
Dallas needs alot of work here, first they just need to walk away from Crawford and use the cap savings on signing a legit 3T. But that still need to go get more in the draft. Woods will likely be suspended in 2020 with his arrest. Dallas has Daniel Wise on the PS he will be active next yr i think. Try and sign Maliek but not if its more than 5mil a yr. Not worth the inconsistency.
Release of dont resign
Tyrone Crawford, Cristian Covington, Daniel Ross, Robert Quinn, Michael Bennett
LB
Dallas is fine here, if they improve the DL the LBers can get after the play. Smith and Vander Esch are beasts if theyre not having to fend off so many blockers on every play. They have nice depth here.
Release of dont resign
Sean Lee, Joe Thomas,Justin March
CB
This is a big problem for this team. Part of it is the soft coverage Richard is going with but most of it is Jones and Awuzie just dont play good with the back to the QB. Brown is a FA too.Dallas needs a veteran here IMO. One who wins matchups, and let Awuzie and Lewis compete to start. Loser go to the slot. Wouldnt be opposed to Jones resigned but to play FS, His best yr came when they moved him to FS, his 2nd yr playing safety was a disaster because they moved him to SS.
Release of dont resign
Byron Jones, Anthony Brown, CJ Goodwin
S
This needs atleast 1 new starter. But Woods shouldnt just be handed the job in 2020. Think Frazier should be brought back because he's a ST beast.
Release of dont resign
Jeff Heath, Darrian Thompson
Kick/Punt

Agreed, but I think the QB situation will be up to the HC. Dak is solid, but he’s too inconsistent. I know he’s Jones’ guy, but I don’t know. Jerry has been nuclear as of late, so if the new HC wants him gone, he may consider the decision. We will see.

Everything else I agree on. They may keep Devin Smith or another WR for depth though because honestly, we need to spend this draft on all defensive players. DT’s, CB, Safety, DE, etc. We’re going to need more than just Gallup and Coop as our WR’s and I doubt they draft one, and if they do, he’ll be a 6th rounder or UDFA.

That's a big overhaul. I doubt the Cowboys move half that many players.

Guys like Cobb, Olawale, Thomas, Quinn or Bennett, Heath just to name a few probably stand a good chance of returning.

Main thing is don't screw around getting a new HC in here. There is some serious roster evaluation that needs done before FA starts.

I disagree. These guys are loafing and yucking it up because they know they can just beat the Eagles and be in the playoffs. They are taking two months off but come the playoofs, these Boys will be world-beaters.

Olawale is useless as a blocker, and is incompetent as a pass catcher
Dallas already has thomas' replacement in Gifford
Quinn will be looking for over 12mil per bet on it
Bennett i think is going to retire
Heath i think will want more then what the cowboys want to offer.

I could see Cobb back but i think its more likely he wants more too

Nick Saban is the greatest college coach ever because he couldn’t get the job done in the NFL.

He knew it wasn’t going to work in Miami and cut bait. I’ll pass.

Here's the thing about QB: it's going to be whoever the new coach wants, or at least something he agrees to. I don't see Urban Meyer coming here unless he has full latitude. Or Lincoln Riley. Why leave something good to take a job where you don't get to make the most important decision?

At QB, I might offer Dak a contract in the 2 year, in the average qb range. If he signs and overperforms and we're in the Super Bowl, we'll extend and look at a huge number. If he gets a better offer, we say thank you and good luck. We also explore the possibility of acquiring Andrew Luck. I would take a flyer on Johnny Manziel, small contract with performance and behavior incentives. I don't see any qb I like in the college ranks until Trevor Lawrence comes out, although I've done hardly any research.

Luck sure. Manziel? Not on your life.
