jimmy right as usual. can only pray that the next coach can create a culture of pride and accountability with out jerry under mining him with his weird attention seeking nonsense that has infected most of the team.

I would think you would forget what it feels like to be hungry if you know you will never be hungry.
I was really a fan of Jaylon as a person until I saw him on the Cowboys Hour some weeks back, pushing his brand. Dude is all about material crap. You would have thought that injury would have humbled him. Doesn't appear so. I think he now believes he is superhuman.
These are not the type of guys we want leading our team. We don't need stylists, we need hard nosed football players!

That's why I wouldn't extend any of these guys. For what? To not make the playoffs?
Seems like once these player get a big payday they get a big head too. Someone please convince me the Cowboys have gotten their moneys worth out of Jaylon, Zeke or DLaw this season? The culture around here sucks!

Could you imagine someone showing up to a team flight dressed like that on a Mike Ditka team?

Look up how many high priced players there are on the Patriots team...

It's been said many times of late. The Cowboys as they are now are Rocky Balboa in the first part of Rocky 3. All glamour and terrible preparation with no real hunger to win. No "Eye of the Tiger" as the movie said. These guys don't really care about being champions or not.

“You get what you tolerate”

The players are acting this way because the HC and FO allows them to. Personally, the HC is more responsible bc his job is to prepare his team to win, and culture in the locker room is a huge part of the equation.

JG wants to be friends with his players. It’s not that personal relationships can’t develop between players and the HC— it’s just that the HC is the one that has to protect the mission and the vision.

Anyone that refuses to align with the mission, the HC needs to deal with. Garrett refuses to deal with the issues on his team— so the inmates end up running the asylum.

What happened to playing with pride for yourself and your teammates? These days its all about getting paid and who dresses better.

Hasn't been in Dallas for decades! They are happy to be losers as long as Jerry sells them as the best team in the world. They don't have to win anything!

I like the full quote even better:

"All the players in this league think they’re self-motivated and that’s a bunch of bull because there are only a handful that are self-motivated," Johnson said. "So you’ve got to motivate these players through some respect but the No. 1 motivator is fear. Fear of letting down your teammates, being embarrassed or fear of losing the job. Where is the fear in Dallas? There’s no fear in Dallas. It’s a country club where everybody is buddies."

The message isn’t getting through to the players anymore. They’ve packed it in.

Even great coaches eventually get drowned out. Andy Ried, Tom Coughlin and Herm Edwards all ran their course with their respective teams. JG wasnt great to start with. Im suprised he lasted this long.
