Just like the Cowboys. Address a problem after it's too late.

Based on our last few drafts I'd say this makes sense. Might as well come out with a known impact player in the 1rst round.

Lord knows this team needs a good safety. We've lacked one for close to 20 years. We've been yelling for one , also for 20 years. Hopefully our next HC has the power to pull it off while not getting taken to the cleaners.
and a 340 pound 1-tech...after we fire Marinelli we might get one?

The jets are actually playing well. Why would they deal adams in the offseason? They should be looking to add pieces to the defense and get the injured players back and see how good they are.

It depends on whether the new HC is offensive or defensive.

If its Rivera as HC..yes.

If its offensive like an Urban or Riley..no.

We have enough invested in offense.

Defense has a need to be rebuilt now.

Before the OL and Zeke start to come apart.

:omg:
red--i think they are both digressing...not worth it to sign RB to big bucks...just not worth it....unless i had AP in his younger days

I'm honestly not familiar with him
@erod may disagree with me, but not a game changer for this team until the makeup is changed.
And not worth the investment on this team.
Maybe another team, but not this team right now.
No.

I am skeptical about Delpit. He has taken a real tumble as the year has unfolded.
I preferr Simmons IMO. The guy plays the posistion the way the team played Woodson, and the way they played Church in two different type of schemes.

This. If we had done in in-season as part of a playoff push I could get behind it. At this point it makes no sense to trade valuable assets AND give him a huge contract. Just wait another year and give him the huge deal.

Definitely, his value to us was bigger before the trade deadline because we needed better safety play now. In the offseason, it would be great to get a Pro Bowl-caliber player, but if the price is too high, we can look to free agency or the draft to improve the position.

I'm not opposed to a trade for him because I think he's better than what we can find. It just has to make sense from a value standpoint ... and I think the Jets are going to be asking for too much.
