The money's fine, I don't worry about money. It's the cost in draft picks that's in question to me.
A first and a 3rd next draft is what was floating around. If were targeting a safety then it's worth it but I get what your saying I wouldn't do 2 first's

I wouldn't do a first and third, not in the same draft. I would have been willing to go there before the trade deadline because we thought maybe a safety would put us over the top. Now, it doesn't look like we're close to a safety away. I'd give them a pick in 2020 and a pick in 2021. Maybe a first and conditional second that could fall to a fourth.

Why exactly would you trade a 1st in the offseason before the draft for a player to have under contract for at most 2 years, assuming he doesn't hold out the 5th year option, when you can draft one and have them under contract for 4 or 5. Based on his draft positioning Adam's has practically been a bust. If you want to throw out a big contract you can out bid the Saints for Von Bell, and be getting the same in the box safety for less money and still have you're 1st round pick! I'd rather wait a year and get Marcus Williams anyway. Sorry, I think the attempt to trade for Adams was a desperation move by Jerry thinking he had a SB contender... that ship has sailed!

I’m not saying he wouldn’t be an improvement...

But two career interceptions. He isn’t going to fix the lack of turnovers created by the secondary. And it’s going to cost an arm and leg in draft picks and salary cap allocation.

I've watched Adams since he was in HS, and knew he was ridiculous back then, but with I think DAL would be better served using those resources to build the middle of this defense.

He been in the league 3 seasonsand has 2 career interceptions. I doubt he'll come to dallas and be the ball hawk we need.

I dont care about picks. We need a self motivated DOG in the secondary.

I care about picks, but I agree with your contention that we need as you put it a “motivated DOG in the secondary.”

I’ve been saying for a while that our secondary group has no leader or identity. Guys like Byron Jones or Xavier Woods certainly aren’t filling that role.

Fake story alert. This isn't happening. Were not gonna give away our first for a player on a contract year, when half our cap is going to go to sign 2 players.
