What happens if by a miracle the skins beat the eagles and we beat the rams?

Because the eagles would then be 2-2 in the division with a 7-7 record and we would still have a 4-0 record in the division. And let's see say we lose out and we both finish at 8-8 with the same division record at 4-2 what happens in that situation?

Eagles lose and we win. We’d be a game up going into our week 16 matchup. Even if we lost in week 16 we’d be tied then for the division. Assuming we beat the skins week 17 then we’d get in because we’d be 5-1 in division while eagles would be 4-2.

Essentially if the eagles win this week the rams game doesn’t mean as much for us.

Assuming the eagles win this week..... the rams game determines whether we’d have to beat the skins week 17 to get in. (Again assuming we won week 16)

But beating the eagles on 12/22 ends everything correct?

We meed 2 of the following:
Dallas beats Rams
Dallas beats Philly***
Dallas beats Wash
Philly loses to Wash
Philly loses to NY

*** indicates that must be one of the two. The only situation where that is not required is if Philly loses to both NY and Wash and Dallas beats LA and Wash.

I get it now. Even we beat the eagles to move to 7-8 and tie them, we would still need to win the last one or have them lose the last.

The last 2 weeks of NFL is going to be ANXIETY

Yeah so eagles win this week. Rams game kind of not relevant. We’d still have to beat the eagles regardless week 16.

if we beat the rams and eagles. Division is over.

we lose to the rams and then beat the eagles we’d have to beat the skins week 17 to hold onto the division.

eagles lose this wknd that would change a lot if we then beat the rams.

Exactly...…...basically the game on Dec 22 is the "NFC East Championship Game".

Almost impossible for the loser of that game to win the division

This is not entirely true. If we beat the Rams and Washington and Philly loses to either Wash of the Giants we are in. They don’t have to lose both Washington and the Giants. In that scenario we would be 5-1 in division and Philly 4-2

Not to be sarcastic, plus I know it’s the season.

maybe you should ask who believes in Santa Claus or the Easter bunny...

Really??? You still fool yourself that this team has a remote chance of winning against the Rams?

The eagles are fighting for their playoff lives and the Commanders are more dysfunctional than Dallas by a wide margin

In football terms as a team the Commanders cant even tie their own shoes without vomiting

the reality is this philly goes to 7-7 next week and we lose by 20 fall to 6-8

Miracle is a stretch. Eagles are as big of a mess as Cowboys are, and they just lost two of their best players on offense. Commanders could easily stumble their way into a win against Eagles.

Then again...Skins could easily stumble into a win against this Cowboys team!

Honestly, the Skins legit look like the best team in the East.

They won two straight before almost beating the Packers in Green Bay. They beat the Lions and Carolina.

Guice being out hurts them. But their defense is no slouch and they are going to ruin ours or Phillys season IMO

If the Cowboys win this weekend and the Eagles lose, then the Cowboys only need to win one of their remaining two games to make the playoffs and win the division.
