Now I'm even further convinced that the NFL is fixing games or the referees are betting on games of course the NFL will come out tomorrow and clarify that and say it was wrong for the referee to do that? That does a lot of good during the game just like the tripping calls oops sorry I'm sick of hearing that from the NFL about this horrible officiating

Your choices are receive, pick your direction, or defer. It's fairly simple.

Years ago, in older stadiums, the weather and wind had huge impacts on the games, so it made sense for teams to pick the direction to make sure they had the wind at their back in the 4th quarter.

Great teams/smart coaches always defer now, the only exception is if you have a high-powered offense and you want to set the tone. I still think you should defer no matter what though because it guarantees you the ball coming out fo halftime.
