Can we get a special teams coach who knows how to set up the team for good punt and kick off returns?

he said kick it that way though first. He screwed up thinking kick means defer not realizing you can't say kick it that way without giving up the second half too.

Has anyone ever seen that called in a game at any level? NFL, College, HS? Only the Cowboys get calls like that. Walt Garrison should have clarified what he was saying. In the audio they played Dak clarified "deferred"

The league could easily listen to the audio and fix this crap, they won’t do it but expect the rule to be “clarified” in the off season

the guy driving the offense every down isn't the biggest reason? news to me lol. Maybe it was the pit crews fault.
Hmm, considering football is as much a team game as anything, I think the entire damn organization is at fault for 6-7. A lack of this and that. People all around including Dak have not done the best of jobs. And in an organization that is not well run with a team not well coached and players not playing well the result is clear. But anyone can say 6-7 is Daks fault. That's easy.

I didn’t hear it right then. There was definitely confusion and even our announcers thought Dak screwed it up. Which hearing it now, technically he did. He told the ref he wanted defense and to kick. Then the ref accepted that and only then did Dak say defer. Is it one of those things where your first answer is your final answer? Because if so, I can’t see where we have a gripe here.
