With the amount of talent on the Dallas Cowboys roster in 2019, there's no way they should look as bad as they have -- but who exactly is to blame? The Dal...

DAK GARRETT JONES ---pretty easy test. Shocked they did a "news" story on this as if everyone didn't already know..well except for
a couple posters I know who believe in mediocrity and blame everything from the weather
to the star alignment - anything but Dak ...

This statement on Jerry Jones sums up the last 24 years : "...This ignorance and refusal to put aside his controlling behavior is one of the sole reasons as to why Dallas is a losing city as of late."

I’m convinced that this “football team” is a fraudulent money laundering scheme at this point.
You can blame nobody but coaching in the organization. 250 yards a game and we were winning football games. Went to 450 a game. Like most of fans wanted. And we suck. We don’t even know the scheme that fits our players. There’s only one blame.

If it's a puppet type HC, i will give it a chance, but i will plan other things to do on Gamedays, maybe some local weekend trips etc. Between the commericals, penalities, replays, and the Cowboys being a joke there really is no reason to waste much more time on the Cowboys. I think deep down inside i actually want Jerry to hire a puppet or keep Garrett, it will be easier to step away.

Recently, I started (but never posted) a thread hypothesizing that Jerry Jones was not root cause of the Cowboy's listless performance over the past decade+. Before going any further, I am neither a fan nor apologist for Jerry Jones.

I have always thought that, as an owner, Jerry has few peers. From building the new stadium to transforming the Cowboys into a financial powerhouse to being a driving force in brokering a deal to bring the Rams back to LA, Jones has made his mark on the NFL.

My research for the post led me to the 2008 book Playing to Win and a 2003 SI article about Jones. While there are countless other articles about Jones, these two really galvanized what a supremely arrogant, narcissistic, manipulative and self-serving individual he is. I walked away from my original premise that most of the blame for the Cowboy's current woes rest with Garrett.

Everything that Jones does is about feeding his ego. Despite being regaled as a "players" owner, make no mistake, Jones is Voldomort and Garrett is a Death Eater (to coin a Harry Potter phrase).

By the way, I am not apologizing for Garrett either. He is a miserable, untalented, incompetent coach that should have been fired long ago. While JG is the cause of the Cowboy's current poor performance, Jones is the underlying rot.

Whew.. I think I will go shovel snow now.
