I have NO doubt in my mind that we would be in the SB next season with him as HC. None. Even with the current roster.

So why wouldn’t Jerry pay for that?

Why on earth would he want to come to this circus? On the other hand...if he turned this circus into a SB team, even just once, his status would go from legendary to otherworldly.

Read an media article out of New England about 3 weeks ago discussing this scenario. The going rate for his services per the reporter would be 3 1st round picks!
His contract is year to year which means you wouldn't have to trade for him if Bill doesn't resign with the Patriots.

With the latest revelation regarding Jerry not worried about other teams quickly moving forward on interviews [and the Cowboys not making any moves yet], and Jerry also saying other teams can interview any or all the names out there and he doesn't care one bit... I think it truly could be Bill Belichick that Jerry's targeting - post playoffs of course. And honestly I could see the Patriots losing to the Titans this weekend if the Titans get Derrick Henry and the ground game going. Bill is THE biggest name possible. He would instantly elevate this team on his coaching alone. He'd have most of the control he wants. And a new challenge with THE premier team/brand in the entire NFL. Add to the fact there has been lots of speculation about Tom Brady leaving the Patriots after this season - why not try and see what you could do with a solid foundation of Dak, Zeke and a solid o-line? Finally - hasn't the Patriots' post Bill Belichick succession plan been Josh McDaniels all along? We get Bill, Patriots keep Josh McDaniels, and everyone's happy.

Not according to the writer! They seemed to think he was under contract for 2 more years!

That plain answer? It’s not his style ...too glamour oriented here. He likes teams, not building up stars and sponsoring Ford trucks and Dr.Pepper.

Love this tbh

Giving everyone a heads up. I will be starting similar threads tomorrow. Titles are below.

Aaron Rodgers - Why Not?
Khalil Mack - Why Not?
John Harbaugh - Why Not?
Tom Laundry’s clone - Why Not?
Me marrying Beyoncé - Why Not?

Naw, I could see a scenario where Bill comes here due to the fact that he hasn't proven that he can win without Brady. That coupled with the fact that the owner sided with Brady and they shipped out Jimmy G a couple of years ago make it plausible.

Brady is done this year. BBs contract is up. NE needs to go into rebuild mode. BB has nothing more to prove in NE. Already guaranteed a yellow jacket.

BB is a football person. He has nothing else in his life. He wont retire. He's nothing more to do in NE. Type of person who'd like to prove its him, not Brady, NE front office etc. I can see him taking on a new challenge.

P.S. he approached Jerry in the past re a job.

Belichick would be a fool to leave NE, if only to be hamstrung by Jerry!

Those two would be fighting, tooth and nail, for control. :omg:

Not gonna happen . . . it just won't!

Just for fun though, it would be entertaining to watch Bill handle the Dallas media. Or not handle them, either way it could be interesting.

If Belichick ever coaches for another team other than NE, it will be the Giants.

BB would never be interested in working for JJ...and JJ would never be interested in hiring BB. They both have egos that need to be satisfied. Does JJ get the real credit of winning a SB if BB came in to do it?

People will say ‘well Kraft gets some level of credit for NE’s rings’...true he does. He gets the credit for being a good owner and staying out of the way. Jerry Jones has absolutely no interest in that sort of credit.

It’s too big to be realistic, but Bill’s a big enough name to justify backing Jerry off for a few years. He’d let Jerry stick it to Kraft. And Parcells probably has said enough good things about the Joneses that I don’t think that marriage is all that crazy if Jerry dies agree to back off. If Bill’s deal really is year to year, with Brady’s play declining and Dak in place, I think Dallas would be an attractive option for Bill. It’s the biggest job in the league, by a mile. The only issue is Jerrys ego. Which is why it won’t happen.
