Firing the staff would be incredibly stupid. Assume Meyers is the guy and will be hired in a few days. Between now and then, Jerry fire's everyone under contract and let's those with expiring contracts meet with other clubs. Meyers walks in and says to Jerry; "Where is Kellen? I was impressed with him and think he will be an excellent OC in my system." Jerry has to look and him and say "Oops...fired him on 12/31. Sorry Urban." Let the new HC make that call.

Yea that's possible, but i would think it's very unlikley. Urban i think would want it completley empty, this way there is no one else to blame but himself.

your way is doing it backwards..... Jerry should fire entire staff and if new HC wants to retain a assistant, then he can hire him back. Not to have him be guilted into keeping him on the staff
