my guess is a college coach or someone who was not coaching last year
riley makes the most sense to me since they know him well
think it has to be somebody they know pretty well and that probably is not meyer
there was a blurp about a key qb recruit will not go to oklahoma if riley leaves recently

i just cannot believe that garrett is coming back as headcoach
jerry wants a superbowl before he is 6 feet under and even he can see garrett cannot do it
they are probably trying to invent some vp position that does not make mcclay unhappy
so it should not be personnel
yet it cannot intrude into coaching

if garrett does come back, god forbid, i quit.
i will stop watching games myself.

true but ram made it to the show and continued progress
they had player issues this year they could not get around
unlike the cowboys that massively under perform
special team play was horrible
k and p should have been replaced last offseason and many called for it.

I think they are negotiating over how much power JG gets for staying.
He will get play calling back, probably a raise, and control of staff hiring and firing.

As long as 90,000 + fans continue to fill his palace like they have every home game since it opened no matter what product is put on the field, why should he care? We the fans are partially to blame for buying tickets to this never ending circus

The Cowboys FO is in no hurry for this coaching change because the guy they have designs on is most likely still coaching in the playoffs. Garrett is completing his coaching duties by helping the FO assess what went wrong in 2019. His contract doesn't expire until 14 January so why not take advantage of that by having him help with the assessment? The next HC is either Mike Zimmer or Bill Belichick.

I think its all about Garretts exit package. JJ would prefer to pay him to not coach in 2020. Dallas has too many high profile FAs. There is a big risk that some starters will follow Garrett to another team. A team may even offer Garrett an assistants job to get the inside track on a couple of starters.

Garrett has had two meetings with the team and about to have a third. Sounds like a job interview to me. I hope I am wrong but I think he will sign an extension today and bring in a brand new coaching staff. Jerrah loves him some Garrett.
