Jesus, how do these guys feel taking the time to go through this? He has to know he is a token interview, he has to know.
Are you saying Marvin is not capable of being a HC in the NFL and is not capable of proposing a viable argument to the Cowboys that he can get our team to the next level?

Probably already been stated but, I would hire Lewis just because of his ".. they are who we thought they were" quote.

Defensive Coordinator to pair with Mccarthy... don't see Jerry wanting to go back to 34! Yeah... I'm grasping at straws!
or DC to pair with Lincoln Riley.
but he aint interviewing for that.
he's interviewing to be HC.

Hes not good

Hes better than Garrett playoff wins be damned.

Garrett is not making the playoffs in 5 consecutive seasons with Andy Dalton. Couldnt even get this team to the playoffs in a historically weak NFC East

That's a fact

It's a lot harder to make the playoffs when you're going head-to-head against Pittsburgh and Baltimore twice every season. We are in a division where recently 8 - 8 or 9-7 put you in the running just about every single year. Huge difference

Could you imagine hiring Lewis as HC and him becoming a new family member . We’d be looking at another decade of 1 and done playoffs appearances. No thank you!

Posters should remember that not every interview is actually an interview. Jerry will often interview someone just to learn more about an opponent, its something Al Davis used to do and Jerry learned it from him.

If McCarthy really will take the Giants job, there is real value in interviewing him to get insights into his strategy, etc. McCarthy and Lewis have been around the NFL for decades, no matter who ends up as the new Dallas HC the franchise will gain valuable information from interviewing these two guys.

McCarthy didn't win anything without Brett Farve or Aaron Rodgers, and in a bad division.

Lewis had Palmer and Dalton in a division with Pittsburgh and Baltimore, and he worked four the cheapest ownership in the NFL.

Lewis was in major demand when he was at Baltimore, where he built the best defense of the past 25 years.
True about McCarthy.

But no coach can win at the highest levels without marque players like Farve or Rodgers.

So I do not hold that as a negative with McCarthy.

If anything as a HC..it requires you to direct that talent well in order to win.

Rodgers if being honest would have to give McCarthy his due towards his own success over the years they were successful together.

Rodgers got Mc Carthy some deserved success.

I like Mike.

He could help us. We could help him if he succeeds in helping us.

Not really.

Marvin coached one of the worst nfl franchises.

He and McCarthy are a big no but seems like the type of lazy coaching hire this ownership would make.

Oh for sure. Bengals had an average squad at best. But that 0-7 playoff record is putrid.

Jerry's just trying to swap one puppet for another..
