Have the Cowboys ever had three former head coaches on staff?

I don't think so. But correct me if I'm wrong.

Tomsula
Philbin
Nolan

Not that it will actually translate to being meaningful, but it's comforting to know that three guys were so good at what they do at one point in their careers that someone wanted to hire them to lead their teams.

Have we officially hired Tomsula ? I can't find where we have yet ?

Not uncommon to have a former head coach in a coordinator position. There are quite a few this year.

The Chargers have three. Anthony Lynn, head coach; OC, Ken Wisenhut, (HC for the Cards 2007 - 2012 and Titans 2014-2015); and DC, Gus Bradley, who was HC for the Jaguars from 2013-2016.

Fassel was actually an interim head coach as well I believe. It may be a prerequisite for getting hired here now!

lol you’re not supposed to include the hc. Otherwise we would have four including Garrett. Especially apt since he’s a former hc lmao

I'm hoping Haslett comes on board and makes number four. It must feel like the Blues Brothers right now for all of Big Mike's boys who took over clunker teams and failed. We're getting the band back together!

this is what Vermiel did when he built the SB rams team, lot of older coaches, many who had been HC's and failed.

Yes and it was a good regular season in 2014.

Also, I’m waiting for the “Guys, I’m worried there’s going to be too many chefs in the kitchen” thread

Phillips, Campo and Garrett. There, 3 ex-head coaches were on the same staff. :p
