He would make a catch and fall hard and got up and moved very very gingerly at times.

It is important that McCarthy surround himself with a staff he knows and trust. All coaches know when a new HC is hired there is a good possibility they will be fired. These are not newbees to the coaching profession.

Somewhere along the way MM must have seen or experienced a mixed staff and seen how it works.

As in not.

Especially in this organization. It did not work as far as a guy like MM is concerned.

So it all needing to be done..why not immediately.?

People have to make big changes in their families and other areas to do this.

MM has a 5 year contract so I would assume they all are getting at least 3 year deals.

I'm sure he wants to get his staff together before the draft and to be able get them up to speed on the current players and areas that they may feel they need to improve on. I don't expect this to drag out and I'm pretty sure McCarthy had a good ideal even before getting the Cowboys job of assistant coaches he was interested in bring to whomever hired him

If I didn’t think he was playing well I’d use him as a decoy maybe but when my job is on the line he’s gonna be on the field

Lal shouldn't be out for long imo.

Thought he was overrated at first but the team had 3 good receivers this year and Devin Smith made the roster
