it just backs up what Ive been saying for years. The coach is mostly irrelevant. Players play, players win. It is a rare game in the NFL where the coach is the reason a team wins.

The Titans started off 2-4. What turned them around? Did Vrabel have some late night phone calls to Billy and Billy talked him into being better? Nah.... Vrabel benched one sorry QB and put in one that was good.

Andy Reid is supposed to be so damn fgood, had a bye, and his team is getting smoked. Oh, its not his fault..... its all the players.

Disagree and TN is a perfect example. Vrabel is the heart and soul of that team and they've taken on his personality and toughness. As a cowboy fan, you of all people should realize that coaching DOES matter. You sound like Jerry Jones and where's that got us?

If the Chiefs go on to lose this game I really don’t see how you keep that coaching staff
they're consistently good, not average like we are. I don't know how you correct it, but firing everyone over different individuals making mistakes seems a bit much

Thank God! I can’t wait to see a change in our ST play. Of course considering where our play was any change is good change at this point. So... yeah...
I don’t know him by name but I’ll have to look him up. Thanks for the info.
There's a thread dedicated to Fassel, if that's the "him" you're planning to look up.

whoops.
i thought he was a LBs coach there before going to Ohio St...my mistake.

He played for Cowher in pittsburgh with Jim Haslett as his DC then went onto new england with Belichick.

Then he coached on meyers staff and under Crennel then jumped Crennel for a year before leaving to the titans.

He has been around a couple of the biggest sticklers to details the league has ever had. His teams play that way too.

so why even have coaches then just have players and let them play

And unlike Dallas, they are hardly getting trashed for it. It's all "well he's a 2nd year QB. He did all he could".

Hmmmm. Dak was a rookie and played outstanding. He has one turnover and 3 TDs. And had his team tied at the very end. Yet we were trashed as being choke artists and Dak sucks, yada yada.

Lamar was the polar opposite of that. 3 turnovers. 2 failed 4th down runs which were turnovers in essence. His only TD came in garbage time down 22.

Yet the Ravens are getting pats on the back for giving it all they got.

Romo/Dak get trashed for any playoff loss. Lamar gets excuses. His 2 playoff games have been god awful. 1 TD and 5 turnovers. His qB rating in his 1st game was 0.
