I remember going through this when Romo was QB. A lot liked him and was happy to have him as our franchise QB and a lot hated him because he had “those games”.

When Romo got paid so many acted like it was the end of the world because he got blockbuster deals and was locked in as our QB.

Now we are going through this with Dak and some acting like he is going to get over paid and is average, no matter what the stats say.

Do you think there is more or less or about the same amount of haters and lovers for Dak that there was for Romo. And why do you think this is a different situation.

I was there in Carolina for Romo's first start having replaced Bledsoe and I can't describe how crazy that place was with Cowboy fans. Point is we were so excited to have someone other than Drew at QB and even more so I believe cause he was an UFA so there were no expectations. It's only when we/he started pulling wins out of his a** that the expectations rose to a point where the haters started to rear their heads when we couldn't jump over the last hurdle.

Expectations for Dak started the same way-none! He got thrown into this situation and had immediate success so we expected him only to get better and better. I think the ceiling is higher for him and therefore the money should be higher form him.

My response is to this is definitely....THE SAME

Romo got way more heat than Dak and it is not even close! It would have probably continued if he didn't get a broadcasting job. That has saved him from a lot of the bashing. Remember when morons on this board would talk about win and in games? They kept bringing that up and blaming Romo for the 3 year 8-8 years when we were lucky to make it to 8-8. Remember these same fans say that Romo didn't take football seriously? He was not a Peyton Manning type, he didn't study the game like he should, was not the last guy in the locker room. Again, all of that went away when you heard Romo announce a game.....

Dak hasn't been blamed nearly like Romo, thankfully....yet. He has had his share of win and get in games already. Just like it wasn't Romo's fault, it is not Dak's either.

The love. The hate . You just can’t compare it. There’s different reasons why some hate Prescott. How dare he take over for the great Tony Romo. If you didn’t like Tony. It was because you didn’t like his performance. People didn’t like Prescott from the beginning.

Romo got a lot of hate, but what is funny, many of those fans that hated him, well, not hate him, but hated him when he had one of those games and lost it. Though he also had some bad defenses like Dak has.

However, many of these fans now act like Romo was Brady, could do no wrong.
A friend of mine still brings up how Tony got screwed and we would have won the SB that year if he was allowed his job back.

But back when he was throwing those picks he wanted him gone like so many others did, and like so many want Dak gone now.
Fans are fickle and live in hindsight. And have selective memory to fit their thoughts to try to prove something that really doesn't matter.

Remain an individual my cowboy brother. Like myself I and I alone choose who I like and don’t like and the reasons why. I can’t believe how many just follow the crowd. Stay true

The hate for Romo was 10x worse than the "hate" for Dak.

And it was fueled by a BS media narrative that far too many of our own fans bought into.
For me. It was losing the Philadelphia at the end of the season every other season. That’s why I began to hit Romo. Big game choke artist in my opinion. Nothing to do with social media. Especially growing up with Roger Staubach.

Hmmm
I think it’s a toss up.
It’s so hard to quantity the # of haters because they’re so LOUD. It SEEMS like the amount of hate is comparable, but one guy could have less haters and they could just be very loud, making it seem like there’s more.

Most haters take EVERY opportunity to hate on their target, not to mention manufacturing opportunities when they’re bored.

Hell, just take a look at that “pappydog” clown or whatever his name is. He absolutely cannot refrain from talking badly about Dak.

Or how bout that guy with the lion in his avatar who literally talks negatively about Zeke all day, which is not an exaggeration. Dead serious.

As consistent as Pappy is against Prescott. I asked him why. And it wasn’t always a heater. He just doesn’t like his performance. So it wasn’t from the beginning I give him credit for that. As much as I disapprove LOL

No hate so get off that band-wagon!
Just accountability of our reality and as a fan of our team for many years what I'm seeing on the field is 1 player holding us back from any possible glory.
That player's name is Dak Prescott and carrying him is destroying any chance of glory and wasting our talented players present and future!
Enough already as no 1 player is worth the tarnishment of the STAR!!!!

Dak vs Romo really doesn’t matter.

When a former perennial champ-contending team hasn’t sniffed a SB in 24 (!!?!) years, and QB is the most important and most under-the-microscope position on the team...guess where the hate’s going, folks.
