He can’t get open like Witten, he’s not a route runner. lol By the way there’s already a thread about this.
But Witten’s best ability besides blocking was route running. That was literally the only way he ever got open, he was always slow. Dez is much faster. So somethings got to to give.

He is willing to take on Witten's role?????

Thinks McCarthy can find as place for him?

Someone slap this man into reality!!!!

He would sign for the vet minimum. It might make for good reality tv. But it would not improve the team.

Dez would probably be an improvement over Witten that’s how bad Witten was. But we can do better than Dez by digging through the ashes of a dumpster fire.

I know I'm in the minority, but I still want to see Dez play.....wasn't ready for him to go...and I think the loss of romo was a big part of the reason, dude was an allpro beast with romo. Dak not nearly as accurate down field, that hurt dez.

i have no idea how well Dak has recovered from the year. Of course, he says he’s tip top but that was a pretty devastating injury, particularly for an older player who had already lost most of what explosiveness he may have once had.

Also, his hands were really suspect toward the end.

those just don’t seem like traits that are likely to pay off for an NFL wideout

As much as I’d like to think he could help us, I think it’s a long shot at best

The ultimate insult to cowboys fans would be for a rebuilding McCarthy to trot out our old team of Dez, Written and Dean Lee in 2020.

I would like to sign him for vet minimum and see what he can do. I'm saying that now cuz Garrett is gone. I'm hoping, and trusting, McCarthy will coach up Dak and improve him as a QB. If Dez is in shape, why not? He wouldn't be a progress stopper for Gallup, Gallup has pretty much arrived and gets better every year.

As long as they don't do something stupid like not sign Cooper and then sign Dez to be the #1 receiver. But if Dez came in and was 4 or 5th receiver and accepted it. I'd like to see if he has any gas in the tank.

Not the worst idea... I could see DB playing Tight-end... he's very physical and an excellent receiver.

actually, our receiving corp would be unstoppable.
Yes..

But answer me first..

will Dak throw in front or behind them?

His accuracy is still in question.

Now if we can develop a route where the WR drops to the ground 10 yards in front of where he is supposed to be and Dak hits him..

we are on our way.

I think the 49ers showed us tonite how to win with Dak.

Throw only 6 passes every half and instead hand the ball off.

Oh..and pay Dak some insane money like they did with Jimmy G.

Championship.
