Safety, Turn overs, red zone.

its amazing how people who claim to be fans see these problems year in and year out and still go after lesser issues.

drafting as to be more streamlined as well. Put the team in a new direction, start drafting to fill that direction.

the drafting has been better, but if you dont utilize that talent, than its just wasted.

Add a blocking FB. That would add 2 wins a year. Red zone wouldn’t stall anymore

How will McCarthy teach an old dog new tricks ?

All of the players have been spoiled from garrett's terrible coaching ., Now Mike McCarthy is responsible for Dak's poor mechanics .

How does that make sense ?

uhhh... fix it mike ... 'cause Garrett destroyed Dak's mechanics and accuracy .

I'm going to suggest two alternatives.
  1. spread the formation & not let the D put more men than you can block in a tight space. (at least give your Oline the chance to win against the Dline rather lose to Dline & LB'ers & safeties)
  2. For whatever issues CWill may have, blocking on the move is not one of them. Same for Looney. Save the FB spot & shift one of these guys into TE or FB role when you want to go short yardage.

Special teams. We can’t start all our dtives inside our own 20 yard line. I think it’s the biggest concern Next will be the defense of line starting with the defense of tackle. Third will be strong safety. We get that squared away we’re in good shape

the defense is the biggest problem yes there things that can be better on offense like playing well away from home for starters and waking up in the 1st and not the 3rd but the defense was the isssue more often than not. When stops were needed they didnt happen enough.

Special teams cost us dearly. I wish we had Kai Forbath from week 1 and I bet we were in the play offs. The biggest thing we need from mike on Sundays is make the right in game calls. We probably lost 2 games trying to run when we should have passed and visa versa.

and since he used to be in green bay hes probably in with the refs he can teach our lineman to hold without getting called

Did anyone actually read the article. Some interesting points. Cooper had only 27 catches on the road. We saw him disappear late in the season. To me this is more about evaluating his value before you sign him than it is dealing with him in 2020. I don;t think its fair to blame Cooper for the Eagles game. He was targeted 12 times and caught 4 but we saw that game and Dak was throwing wildly. He missed a wide open Cooper a number of times. The article mentions Dak's inaccuracy as a problem to be fixed and I think if you fix Dak, the Cooper problem with resolve itself.

The bigger problem for me, or the biggest problem this team faces, is getting that defense to a point where they can make a stop when they have to, and get more turnovers (the third issue in the article). The pass rush and run defense were both inconsistent. The team was completely fooled on screens too many times to count and allowed mobile QBs too many running lanes. The offense was the best in the league in 2019 so its weird to me that 2 of the 3 issues in the article are offense. On the other hand, the defense couldn't stop anyone when they had to.

The 3 biggest problems for Dallas are: getting more turnovers, getting an inside pass rush or just a consistent pass rush, red zone offense. But a 4th is getting their LBs to play more aggressively filling holes at the LOS instead of making tackles 5 yards downfield - or missing tackles altogether.

good points but for right now, we have to let MM and his staff make the evaluations and hope they are good ones and where they want to go with the team and get the pieces that fit. If Amari doesnt fit, its better to let him walk.

i like the new ST coach, so for what we can do with that, its either fixed or its not, we cant draft for ST. So now FA and draft become important so we have to see the talent that comes in or is inserted in. Lots of tape to go over and lots of decisions to make.

The reason so many teams have stop using FB on most downs is because that takes a receiver, usually the slot receiver, off the field and that allows defenses to have one more player playing closer to the line of scrimmage. On goal line situations many teams use a backup linemen as a FB for those blocking assignments.

I wouldn't re-sign Cooper .
He is a 'ghost' in visitor games , thats just not acceptable.
Leads the league in drops , again, not acceptable.
Wants 'elite' money ...& the money he wants doesn't fit his on-field production/results.

We lost a first round pick for this guy, another strike for the F.O.

Cant't draft for STs? Jerry Jones dedicated an entire draft to STs. Remember that one?

Based on memory they had like 12 picks. Whiffed on every one of them.

Well it is silly to talk about 3 issues to fix, why not 5 or 10 , or even 1?
Really just a new scheme and play book etc can fix a lot of issues, also game mgmt, and retraining players can fix issues.
It is hard to evaluate players who played under JG and his staff, they all might play better under new coaches guidance.
