Holy great googly moogly!

At this rate, he's going to make more than Dak, not just Zeke.

Look, I love me some Romo, and he does make the games more fun to watch, but this is insane.

I don't tune in for broadcasters. Almost nobody does. If I hear Beth Mowins voice, I'm out, but otherwise, I'm generally OK with whomever is doing the game.

Is there a broadcaster salary cap you’re worried about here?

I can understand the urgency to lock down Romo.

There is an incredible shortage of good announcers out there. Not everyone can do it as well as Romo can, most recently evident in the revolving door that's been the MNF booth.

My hope is that broadcasting proves to be Romo's ticket to the Hall of Fame because the lack of playoff success by Dallas is going to keep him out otherwise. I think he already deserves a spot (I know some don't agree with me), but acknowledge that he will be on the outside looking in unless he takes the John Madden route (although Madden did lead a team to a Super Bowl victory and had a 76 percent winning percentage as a head coach).

A contract this high in broadcasting almost guarantees that he will not be returning to the NFL as a coach. I am happy for him. Suck it Joe Buck, at the end a Cowboy still got you at your own game.

I think he'll get in as a contributor but it may take a while......

The benefits of being great at your job. Just a fun guy to listen to.

Still would like to have Romo paired with Burkhardt over at Fox Sports. But I think Brukhardt is still with the B-Team since Buck and Troy do most of the game of the weeks.

Hilarious. I recall Romo received a lot of flack from women's groups and even the clown Brent Cheeseburger for Romo's hiring (taking over for Sims) and style of announcing.
Glad to see Romo making it work for himself off the field. Honestly I think Aikman has stepped up his game in lieu of Romo's popularity. Both are 's fierce competitors and I'm sure they both want to be ranked #1 (however that is done) in play by play commentary.

LOL, I'm betting CBS thinks so.

This is the key to work life right here. I teach it to my kids. Get two companies bidding for your services before you accept an offer. Won't get you $20 million, but it'll get you 20% more plus guarantees.
I guess a reasonable argument could be made that he’s driving up the cost of “cable” TV if he signs with ESPN... but CBS is obviously OTA and free.

If ESPN gets him, they need to pull Kevin Harlan off the radio broadcast to go with him.

Tessatore is painfully football ignorant and tough to listen to. Replacing Booger with Romo won't change that.
