im not disputing that, but you cant toss away Garrett left the mess, let me explain,

this team talent is better than the record.

most games the team could not operate on all cylinders.

NOW some players should be scrapped, but will take time or replace

drafting will need a new philosophy.

off season will need and hopefully have a new direction.

special teams will need an overhaul, we know that we all think we got the right coach

-----------------------

a lot of things are still on the table to see about its new direction.

im aware of a lot more than you give other fans credit, but you have to see the big picture some fans are talking about instead of assuming the worst. lots of conversations going on.

right now the team is a mess, will MM fix it and how so, soon to be determined.
You’re all over the place with this response. You say they have have more talent than the record but then say they have to change the draft and special teams needs an overhaul. They’ve been drafting well except for last year when they didn’t have a first round pick and the special teams are made up of majority starters. It doesn’t take years to revamp the special teams just one offseason.

thats why the team is a mess, it needs new direction.

i dont care how you draft, not every player is for every scheme, so now Dallas has to draft for what they are going for. if everyone screams you take BPA but BPA is a RB, does Dallas really need another RB? No, but we need a run stuffer, a safety, and than some other lesser upgrades.

lots of things for MM to do and gear the team towards. Garrett might have tried to build a good team but it had no direction.

The only thing that is a mess is the fan base.

oh stop that, in order to believe that you either would have to admit Garrett put together and kept a good team AND still couldnt win with a good team.

at some point the facts direct you to the point that Garrett is the issue or the team, which is it?

Garretts gone. It’s a new team with a new coaching staff. Pull your XXL’s out and get with the new program.

and that doesnt change teh fact the team is in disarray and we hope MM will fix it correctly. but facts arent damned that the team needs fixing. So accept that. at this point in the off season, team is a mess, we re hoping MM and crew fixes them correctly.

Drafting players for Kris and Rods scheme hurt us last season defensively.

That's about what I'd expect. Pollard has a nice rookie year but there was literally 0 year-one return from this draft class aside from him.

Looking forwards to seeing McGovern in year two though.

Round 2: (No. 58 overall) Trysten Hill, DT, 7 games/0 starts.
Round 3: (90) Connor McGovern, OG, 0 games/0 starts.
Round 4: (128) Tony Pollard, RB, 15 games/0 starts.
Round 5: (158) Mike Jackson, CB, 0 games/0 starts (1 game/0 starts with Lions); (165) Joe Jackson, DE, 5 games/0 starts.
Round 6: (213) Donovan Wilson, S, 11 games/0 starts.
Round 7: (218) Mike Weber, RB, 0 games/0 starts (spent most of '19 on Cowboys' practice squad before heading to Chiefs' practice squad); (241) Jalen Jelks, DE, 0 games/0 starts.
Notable rookie FA signing: Brandon Knight, OT, 7 games/1 start.

+ Round 1 - Cooper. If you loved the trade, you love our 1st round pick.
Round 2 - Developmental DT. Not looking good, but we'll see.
+ Round 3 - A consensus high value pick with no injury history that got injured. Stuff happens. Can't blame the pick for an injury.
+ Round 4 - Pollard looks like a very good pick.
Later Rounds - No one really showing up to my eye, but ots of people were hot for Wilson, Jelks, and Johnson by the end of camp. A clear big win with Knight as UDFA.

3 of top 4 are good picks (assuming you like Cooper).

Meanwhile, we traded for Quinn and won big. Got Cobb for 5. Picked up Devin Smith for nothing (then failed to use him). Got Michael Bennett for a 6-7 and 2.7mil.

Big mistake was Crawford.

So much complaining over nothing. Do you expect to hit on all top 4? Quinn, Cobb, and Bennett were a batch of free agent picks that look like they push a real team over the top. We hit on them.

Cooper and Pollard. McGovern looks like a good pick. Hill a bad one.

You seem to be a pretty miserable individual. Have hope, it helps.

i do, i wanted one thing for Christmas and it came. Now MM wasnt my first choice, but im backing him and hoping hes successful. I dont hate the hire, i just personally dont jump on the bandwagon that he was my pick.

Lots of hope and potential so far, already excited about next season.

I was hoping for Belichick but I’m all in with McCarthy. He’s got the skins on the wall to be tough with the players. They need some toughness and real accountability.
