As the shifting rosters ebb and flow..

It appears to me we are going to be short some bodies.

Is the Draft going to fix it? Should we start being concerned we need to move back in the draft with several trades and pick up more 2nd, 3rd and 4th rd picks to make the team better?

Should we consider trading 2021 draft picks as well?

I am all for this if there is depth at our positions of need like CB, DT, DE, Lber, WR.

FA will help but we just will not pay alot. So not sure how much this helps.

And It looks like we will be sifting the post draft and TC cuts profusely.

Not all of our needs will be fixed in 2020 and will probably use 2021 to finish rebuilding.

Does this make any sense?

I just do not like our roster bleeding like this.

Dallas is definitely seeing more talent leaving than they are getting in.....

"In 2020 free agency so far, the Cowboys have made more headlines with the players they’ve allowed to leave Dallas than with the players the Cowboys are bringing in. As a result, a part of the free agency discussion in Dallas has revolved around the potential for the Cowboys to receive some compensatory draft picks next year for the free agents they’ll lose this year, and this focus on comp picks has drawn some derisive sneers here and there.

"But think about it this way: if the Cowboys had traded away Jason Witten for a sixth-round pick instead of letting him go for free, wouldn’t you have jumped at that opportunity? What if, instead of letting one-year rental Robert Quinn leave for Chicago and a five-year, $70M deal, the Cowboys would have gotten a third-round pick for Quinn?"

Come in off the ledge.

It's March 18th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok..

But there is some concern.

I think some here are not seeing the upheaval.

I am all for positive change but all changes are not positive.

The only non-change is retaining Moore.

The rest means changing personnel along with the coaches.

We shall see.

Today is technically day 1 of free agency - we aren’t done making moves & there will still be the draft and cuts from other teams now through training camp. The only true loss that will be difficult to fill is Byron Jones & a lot of ‘forum experts’ don’t even think that’s a big deal because hE dOeSn’T gEt tUrNoVeRs lol.

If our team is smart, we're planning to attack the undrafted rookie situation this year very hard. Lots of good guys are gonna slip through the cracks with the pandemic canceling in-person meetings and Pro Days and all that. Guys who, in any other year, would have gotten themselves noticed and earned their way into the draft, will slip through the cracks and be undrafted this year because of the change in the process. There will be some real homeruns lurking there for whichever lucky team finds them.

You mean which ever team is ready to sacrifice its scouting dept to find these guys becuz of the virus..no?

Seriously, probably true. No doubt teams will tred lightly fearing bringing in a virus to the team and support staff.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was some event where you could select new players to play for your team....hmmm maybe the nfl can look into that
