I think 2 OT’s, 2 WR’s and 2 RBs go before our next pick so, much as with the first round, we really only need 1 of 11 critical players to be there.

Im pretty confident one of the three Safeties will be there at 51. I would take either one there.

This is where you may see Dallas move up a bit in the 2nd to grab a favored edge or CB.

The very best on this list are the top 7-8 players on this list. The rest have flaws. If it's too costly to move up, I say Cowboys should trade down and pick up extra 3rd, 4th and/or 5th round picks.
I’m on board with that, especially if we can get McKinney who I believe would easily be the best safety in the NFC East by 8:30pm eastern time tonight lol

I'd package a fourth to guarantee landing any of these guys.
I think there’s so much talent left that you don’t have to move up; however, I wouldn’t be mad at all if we moved up for any of these guys - almost all of them were “linked” to us at pick 17! With four comp picks next year, I think sacrificing mid round draft picks this year is smart if you can land one of these guys that you really like.

With all these high quality talent available, would you guys package a 3rd and 4th for a mid round 2nd?

Looking at the trade value chart.

Rd 3 pick 82 (180 points) + Rd 4 pick 124 (49 points) = 229 points
Rd 3 pick 72 = 230 points

So we're not getting to the middle of the 2nd round with those picks. We might be able to package a future 3rd round pick with pick 82 to get to pick 60 and that would be tempting for the right player.

19 picks ahead of us and 10 players I would be very happy with:

1 Gross-Matos
2 Baun
3 Blacklock
4 Diggs
5 McKinney
6 Johnson
7 Winfield
8 Ellitot
9 Epenesa
10 Davidson

Looking at Dane Brugler's updated Day 2 mock I'd take:
51. Trevon Diggs (His selection)
82. Terrell Lewis (He took Burgess)

Yes and 2 QBs possibly with Eason & Hurst. It’s a good day to pickup quality player in 3rd round as well but might have to move up which would be worth getting a 2nd round grade player.

  1. Xavier McKinney, Safety, Alabama
  2. Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge, Penn State
  3. Trevon Diggs, Cornerback, Alabama
  4. Zack Baun, Linebacker/Edge, Wisconsin
  5. AJ Epenesa, Edge, Iowa
  6. Kristian Fulton, Cornerback, LSU
  7. Antoine Winfield, Safety, Minnesota
  8. Grant Delpit, Safety LSU
  9. Jaylon Johnson, Cornerback, Utah
Those are the guys I most want, in that order.
So do I but I think the top will be gone before he gets to us. I would be surprised if he falls to us but hopefully luck falls to us again.

Who here would be dumbstruck if this year's surprise from Jerry is Jalen Hurts? Him and CeeDee conceivably would have some DCs scrambling. Lol.

Only one in the 2nd round that is 1st round value...

You can not coach speed and playmaking ability.
