I think things may have gone our way a little better because teams weren’t together during the offseason.

Dallas looks to have capitalized on the circumstances.

The Eagles looked like the guy in your fantasy league that has no idea what he is doing.

Ironically, its usually an Eagles fan that tried to draft all Eagles.

I think it was that Garrett and Marinelli were gone and we have a REAL HC in charge of the team.

Sometimes the draft just comes to you. We could have waited and got a 3rd WR later in this draft that would have been a significant upgrade because the draft was so deep with WR . Sometimes the draft doesn't come to you and you need a GM that can turn it around.

They have done a good job in recent years of filling holes before the draft so that they can take BPA. First round at 17 we were going to get a a graded first rounder but with Lamb we actually got a Blue Chip first rounder with the possibility he could become a HOF. You can't pass that kind of talent.

Draft just fell our way even in later rounds. Only time will tell....

This draft is what happens when the coaching staff and Scouting Dept are on the same page. For yrs we heard and saw how JGs staff and Scouting Dept never saw eye to eye and picks were screwed up. Some just never made sense. Then some were home runs. There isnt a pick this this draft that you really complain about. Gotta give it to the whole organization for righting a wrong.

There were myriad problems during the Garrett era but drafting good players wasn't one of them.

Its hard NOT to be on the same page is your 6th best player drops to 17
As I've posted before, I was terrified Dallas was going to draft for need at #17 and select K'Lavon Chaisson.

And it was a real discussion in the Cowboys' war room before the decision was made. In fact, Chaisson and his agent had been told beforehand that he would be the pick at #17 if C.J. Henderson was off the board. They will understand that CeeDee Lamb inexplicably falling could not be forecast.

When I first read this..

I thought it said "Cowboys and Boy Scouts on the same page"..

So I think..this ought to be interesting.

I am going..

"please don't let this be one those stories in the news about Boy Scout leaders molesting young boys..

.and for God's sake not let it be about CeeDee Lamb.

I then realized my mistake and flipped to the next thread.

Whew..

I really do not mind thinking out of the box. But at that moment I felt like crawling in and closing the lid.
