...Instead, the NFL put together a strong slate of Week One games, showing that the NFL is fully planning to start the season on time, rather than potentially delay the start of the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 NFL season opens with the traditional Thursday night game hosted by the Super Bowl champions. The NFL scheduled Houston to visit Kansas City, a prime time matchup between two of the league’s best young quarterbacks, Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. That’s exactly the kind of showcase game the NFL would use to start the season with a bang — not the kind of game the NFL would schedule if it feared Week One wasn’t going to happen.

Also in prime time in Week One is Cowboys at Rams on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys are the league’s biggest TV draw, and they’re opening the new stadium in Los Angeles. That’s a big game for the league.

Among the Sunday afternoon games in Week One is Buccaneers at Saints, with Tom Brady facing Drew Brees. Brady’s arrival in the NFC South makes the two Bucs-Saints games among the marquee games of this NFL season.

Winners: Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys have a longer, easier opening than they had last season, plus a manageable mid-November, December and January after their Week 10 bye to avoid another late-season fade.

The Cowboys face only two 2019 playoff teams in the first half, at the Seahawks in Week 3 and at the Eagles in Week 8. Their standout breaks include hosting Atlanta in Week 2 and three consecutive home games against the Browns, Giants and Cardinals from Week 4 through Week 6.

The Vikings (Week 11) and Ravens (Week 13) on the road are very tough, but that’s balanced out by the Commanders, Bengals and Giants. The Cowboys’ schedule gives them a slight edge against the Eagles in the NFC East race.

@Rams L
Vs Falcons L
@Seahawks L
Vs Browns W
Vs Giants W
Vs Ari W
@ Commanders W
@ Phi L
Vs Steelers W
@Vikings L
Vs Commanders W
@ Ravens L
@ Bengals W
Vs 9ers L
Vs Eagles W
@ Giants W

Couple of these games could go either way like the Steelers and Falcons but overall I see about 9-7. If they have the one game thats a head scratcher like the Jets game this team could be 8-8.

I was in Wisconsin near Green Bay for 2 weeks for work and the warmest it was, was 12 degrees one day, most days was below 0, with the coldest being negative 34 one day. Wow! We have cold days in NC but nothing like that.
Wisconsin and the Midwest gets really cold. I understand why Detroit and Minnesota have dome stadiums but an outdoor stadium in the winter would be an advantage come playoff time.

Lol, we gonna lose our first 3 games. You have much faith in Goff and Ryan. Didn’t we score 40 on the Rams with a injured Dak and Garrett coaching.

I just think its a revenge game in LA thats why. The Falcons are no where near as bad as their record last year and Quinn knows how to game plan against Dak. The Seahawks are a very good team. Doubt they let Zeke run all over them again.

Well we have 3 pretty good receivers plus Zeke and Pollard and the TE. We still should be able to score on the Falcons.

seriously the entire premise of the w L predictions before training camp and preseason let alone some game action is futile..

I hope theres a full regular season played..all these college predictions on new power conferences and crazy scheming to play is worrisome/

Will the Rams stadium be ready? Delays due to covid restrictions.

Will California allow mass gatherings by then?

I keep hearing how this schedule is so easy but reality suggests it's still a challenging one in the light of day. Some wise decisions this offseason have elevated us into a team with upside that begs to be fully appreciated. The days ahead will offer more of that when the final cuts are made. I can't wait for the season ahead to get underway. We may not be Super Bowl bound in 2020 but the future beyond that has promise that bodes well for the team and it's fans. I'm looking forward to a future that looks brighter by the day, as long as things continue on their current path. Soak it up, folks! :D
