If they didn't want to sign him they should've traded him last year tbh. The season was over 5-6 weeks in they could've traded him when he was putting up #s They knew what the price was going to be.

I don’t understand how everyone doesn’t see that Dak’s value will go up based on on-field production. You don’t give a guy better weapons and better coaching and expect him to play worse. Dude plays any better than last year he’s a bonafide top 8 QB. There is 0 reason to expect him to regress with the best surrounding circumstances he’s ever had.

Any step forward in play (which is basically inevitable, any capable QB can look good with this team), will command top of the market money. Top of the market money in now vs the future, waiting makes it worse.

There have been teams who have won or gotten to SBs and not won and they were not the most skilled nor highest paid.

It's sort of like a very peculiar record that few if any teams will win a SB if their team has a single player who wins the rushing title, too.

I think Walter Payton in the modern Era is the only one.

So Zeke can't play to well or we are sunk.

Didn't Dallas do this with Emmitt Smith?? I might be wrong, didn't look it up. But ES won it back to back years and Dallas won 3 SB's so the chances are good.

I think the best compromise may be lower years, which is what Dak wants, but lower money.

Something like 3 years for $100 million.

Cowboys get him at a “discount” for 3 years and then he can break the bank with us, or we let him walk.
