2014 and 2007 both of those we didn’t win the super bowl. It’s a damn sin.
The best team by far in 2007 was the Pats
And they somehow lost
Never say never, I guess

That 2014 , other than at QB and maybe the oline, was less talented than the teams we,ve had lately.
Defense had big flaws

Well no kidding they didn’t play the same because they sucked and underachieved just like they did in 2007. It wasn’t lack of talent.
That team was aging fast, but it really didn't catch up them until late 2009.
They should've been better than 9-7 in 2008, I agree.

Agree 07 was the last time this team was a possible contender. Besides 14 but I never bought into that team going far. The defense was bad

To put things in perspective....in 2008 that team entered December at 8-4.......they left December at 9-7. This team sucked in December even in the good years.

Absolutely not 2007 and 14 teams were the best teams he had. 2017-19 were all better facts
Just another butthurt Romoholic making excuses for Romo while bashing Dak.

FACT: Romo was a part of a 2007 team that had a franchise record 13 players make the Pro Bowl. Other years Romo was surrounded with adequate amounts of Pro Bowl players: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2014.

Well they were on pace to do something in 2008.....then they weren’t 1-3 in December.......killed them.

If people want to say They sucked the years we had Nate Livings and Bernadeau starting that’s fair. But it’s not nearly as long as people make it out to be. Jerry surrounded Romo with talent.

Correct! Romo's teams were loaded with good players (2006 - 2009 & 2014). Problem is like you said, they had the talent but they underachieved.

Funny how some Romoholics refuse to understand that.

And Romo was a part of that underachieving too. People keep looking at 2007 and 2014 as the only years he played. That is not the case.

Faded late in 2007 too
Wasn't pretty and a sign of an agi g team, fading late like that. Romo did his part too.

2009 they closed with a nice division clinching win and playoff win
But they got outclassed in Minnesota

Next decent team wasn't until 2014
I consider that team similar to what we've had from 2016-2019...but this years look better than anything since 2007.

Time go deep in the playoffs
Go Dak

Who writes this stuff? I can only speak for myself, but I couldn't give a rodent's posterior how great our skilled positions are or their statistics. I care about end results. 13-3, 12-4, 12-4, 11-3, and 13-3 are the season records of his top 5. Two super bowl wins and 3 appearances. The other two we were in the conversation for a super bowl. Those are results. I don't care what this 2020 team if it's not along those lines.

One play away from advancing in the Giants game. Next to last play of the game.
Perfect game-winning pass to the endzone. Crayton pulls up.
Btw, Owens was hurt for that playoff game. Limped around and was a trooper though.

Almost Antonio.

Owens was done by the 4th. Glenn would never play another down in the NFL. Crayton was all Tony had left to throw to at WR, and he had a wide open drop earlier that cost us hugely.

And *still*, it took another screwup by Crayton in the final seconds to prevent victory. That's how close it was.

3 on the list should be the triplets and supporting cast in the 90s

Yeah, I never got this.

Romo had this reputation for choking in the playoffs. I mean, he did drop that snap against the Seahawks that he never should've taken.

But None of those losses outside of that were really on him. Even in that situation, the Cowboys weren't even IN that game vs Seattle if it wasn't for Romo.

I'm not saying the dude didn't lose a few games. He did. But honestly, so did Aikman in the post Irvin world.

Even those team weren't that great but they were the best he had around him
The fans did all the Pro Bowl voting by midseason and so many Cowboys undeservedly got voted in that 2007 year due a fast start and all the hype.

Marion Barber was 18th in the league in rushing yet made the Pro Bowl.
I wonder if that has ever happened before or since.
Love the guy, but he was no Zeke by a long shot.

Well balanced team though, but overhyped
