These guys are making points that sound awfully familiar. I can’t quite put my finger on it. But if we believe them, just based on the evidence they present here, doesn’t that mean we have to believe so much of what we want so badly to be true in the first place is just total bull****? That doesn’t seem right.

This is very confusing.

Quick, somebody make a post cherry-picking some stat we can use as a counter argument so that we can all bark at each other some more until we get tired and lie down for a nap. Then we can wake up and pretend the reality didn’t actually happen and just go back to what we want to believe in the first place.

I have been sort of interested about how Garrett is being taken in the Big Apple.

We will play him twice a year for now,

Look at the spin on his expectations..

It’s a process. Stack good days on top of each other. Celebrate mediocrity. Clap a lot. Occasional butt slap.

Lol!

Garrett managed to go 8-8 with a top 10 offense and defense. It takes a special kind of incompetence to accomplish that.

Never seen anything like it.

We were something like #3 in the NFL in point differential or yard differential. Up there with the best teams in the NFL. But somehow we went 8-8? I know some think otherwise, but for me, Garrett is the worst coach of the Cowboys ever. Literally the worst coach I have EVER seen in the NFL and its not even close for me.

Campo, Wade, Gaily...……....I take every single one of those over Garrett.

It's kind of funny.

One of my closest friends is a Giants fan. He used to rag on me all the time for Garrett, both as OC and HC.

Post him being hired, he's hyper excited for him and expects Garrett to take Jones and Barkley and be the second coming.

Garrett is the WORST hire for that team. A young college coach? Garrett is going to sabotage him. Will weasel his way into the HC job just like he did here with Wade.

And yet some still compare him to Super Bowl winners. Right up there with McCarthy, Payton, Reid, Just as good as all of them. And of course Bellichicks years in Cleveland. Or the early Landry years!! Obviously better than Pederson and McVay!! Garretts right there with all of them! lol Pretty mind numbing after a decade of no balls, no confidence football. But he absolutely shined in week 17 and preseason. Awesome there too.

I think he'll have some early success as an OC in NY.
The pressure will be considerably less than as an HC.

However, in the end what we'll see is a bunch of empty stats
and possibly a lull in scoring TDs.

Why do you think he will see some early success?

Who was it that kept saying that Garrett was a victim here in Dallas? That he simply didn't have enough talent to do his job properly?

I will always discount 2016-19 of the Garrett Era, those years should have not been granted. When they went 4-12 in 15' he shouldve been fired immediately. Garrett witnesses 2 season of frail and needy Romo in 2013 and 2014. So to not have a plan when Romo went down in 15' is unacceptable. They should have a had a competent backup looking at Romo's condition.

10 years is a long time to have missed something, especially if he was supposedly in charge, He is who he is, not really good, not really bad.....just ehhhhh,......I dont think he is going to miraculously get another HC gig and start winning Super Bowls..... if that is what is meant by missing something.

I mean we will see how they do, that’s the only way it will be settled. If the Giants end up having the #1 offense and the Cowboys go 8-8, none of the mouth breathers here laughing are gonna bump this post and point out how wrong they are. We will see, no one knows.

I don't know.. surprisingly there's a lot of that. You would think some Cowboy fans would want something more than what he brought to the table for 10 years. He couldn't get the hell out of here soon enough for me. So POed when he was hired in 2010. That told you everything. When they pinned it on Phillips and kept him on. Very sad!
