When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved on from McCoy last year there were many Cowboys fans that wanted to see the team go and get him then. Ultimately McCoy ended up with the Carolina Panthers with his now-again teammate Dontari Poe.

McCoy mentions early on in the interview that the Cowboys reached out to him last year but that they couldn’t figure things out with a contract. Obviously Dallas managed to figure it out this season (with a contract that many fans are pleased with) which is good to see.

Sure, and on the way down he can wave to the dudes we've been running out there lately.

Nothing is guaranteed anywhere, kinda why they play the games sir.

On the other hand, anyone who this time last year said that Smith and LVE would regress to the level they did would have been blasted around here....and also would have been right.

All they can do is get the best guys they can, and bit of blind loyalty aside, they've had a pretty good offseason.

He is definitely an upgrade over Woods and Collins but I am not expecting the world from him and Poe. They played together in Carolina and the run defense, with an all world MLB was not that great.

At some point the Cowboys will need to find a way to draft an inside stud out of college.

And btw, Collins was overrated from the day the Cowboys grabbed him. Every preseason we heard this would be his breakout year. Maybe in Oakland he will have that breakout year.

no they didnt sign him, because they consistently low ball free agents from other teams, this goes farther back than Marinelli. they rather pay their own.
