Really. Thats the best defense dallas has had since like 07 08. Granted almost all of their defenses have sucked since the 90s

This is not true. The 02, 03, 05 and 09 defenses were good. The 14 defense was advantageous and got takeaways at great times right up until they didnt on that final packers drive at lambeau in 2014. The 15 defense was actually pretty damn good but the organization had no backup plan at quarterback and totally botched the demarco murray/running back situation killing that season after Romo's injury.

The 18 defense played really well for about a month.

The 14 defense got turnovers sometimes but they sucked.

The team really hasn't been built or coached that great most of the years since the 90s.

They were average but closed out a ton of games with takeaways and big plays.

The parcells years they were coached extremely well. One of the best staffs in the league all four seasons he was here. Wade coaches defense as well as anyone. Parcells also assembled a fantastic team. He was just to old to keep on going. He kicked out the weak links in the front office and rebuilt the organization.

The garrett years are a different thing. They are kind of all over the place.

A TV station, the same TV that shows Ferris Buellers Day Off several times a week for the past 20 years....lol

the OP has no control over what is shown. Can only create a thread about it.

The giants defense was pathetic. It has been for 3 seasons and its why coaches keep getting fired there and they keep losing.
Their three worse seasons in the past 16 years.

But the Cowboys are playing an NFC east opponent in a game #16. Not fun. in this case the Cowboys had clinched a playoff spot but really needed to build some momentum.

These are the blood thirsty circumstances NFC east teams love. I don't think the Cowboys would win their first playoff game if they lost the Giant game.

Trivia fact: This game was the first (and only) time in Cowboys history that Dallas trailed by 7 points near the end of regulation, scored a touchdown, and chose to go for a 2-point conversion rather than kick a game-tying extra point.

Let me guess another Dak show vs another DOG TEAM!!!

My thoughts exactly! Dak even needed a miracle to beat a piss poor Giants team. Last year Dak couldnt put up one TD in 25% of the games Dallas played. And he had some games with no TDs until the end of the 3rd quarter.

they needed the momentum I guess but Winning that game had nothing to do with beating seattle the following week though. Seattles defense had some injuries and Dallas was at home.

Dak threw what should have been a pick six in the second half of the giants game but it was dropped. The play to beasley was a great one though.

The 2003 defense, in particular, ranked No. 1 in the league that year.

Yep they were pretty damn good all year. The last quarter of the season they were asked to not only play good defense but essentially pitch shutouts because the offense was completely tanked.

They lost but played excellent defensive games at new england, new orleans and philadelphia late in the year before finally losing in carolina in the wild card round. That was a fun season and a fun defense to watch.

I understand. And your pessimistic outlook is a good thing.

Why?

Because it seems that when we don't think this is going to be a good year...... it's a very good year.

In 1974 the Cowboys go 8-6. A slew of Cowboy stars retire. Everybody is talking about the next 2-3 years being "rebuilding" years. I am rather pessimistic.

What happens? The Dirty Dozen and Super Bowl 10!

In 2016, after a dismal season of losing Romo and enduring Cassel and Weeden, the Cowboys lose their first two QB's, Romo and Moore. They are forced to start a rookie 4th round draft pick. Consider me pessimistic.

What happens? The Cowboys go 13-3, the quarterback is named Rookie of the Year!

If we can manage to combine our pessimistic outlook, you never know......Super Bowl!

It seems your long standing unreasonable support for Garrett may have been due to reading comprehension

Confidence can be fleeting. That is particularly true for young teams which is why everyone started despite the fact that they had already clinched a playoff spot.
