Dallas should go back to this basic uniform. Or at least wear the silver pants they wear with the blue jerseys. The green tinted pants should have been sent to New York with Garrett.

Dallas always had the green tinted pants while wearing white. Old televisions made it look grey or silver. Then Nike took over and made it 10 times worse.

Not always. The green tint came along in the 70s, but with Nike and HD TV it's more pronounced now.

Well, for as long as I can remember they had them. As a kid I thought they were grey or silver like in the OP. It was only when my father took me to a game in the mid to late 70s that I saw them. I asked him about it but got no real answer. It was only until the early to mid 80s could you notice a slight tint on TV. Right now they would look just fine with how the colors look in the OP. That's how they looked most of the time after all. Why Nike would choose to make that abomination pop is beyond me.

That's a strange reason to mismatch colors. But oddly enough it didn't look too bad before Nike. Even in person.

That was a great team that year.

Staubach had one of his worst games against the Rams in the playoffs though.
