You are not getting it.
The Garrett-led teams Romo was on were considerably worse than the ones Dak inherited.
-They were coached even more poorly
-Talent was worse
-Managed worse
The front office handled free agency so poorly back then, that it has made them do a complete 180 on their free-agency approach.
Dak has not have to overcome the same ineptitude from this franchise that Romo has.
Capt America and the Rolling Ball of Butcher Knives!Roger, America's QB, and Cliff Harris
Erik Williams.............Was the most talented and meanest offensive lineman in NFL history that I ever saw.........................He's the only individual I ever saw not only handle , but dominate Reggie White..................
Reggie White imo is the best defensive end to ever play in the NFL and the way Erik Williams manhandled him made me so proud as a cowboys fan I mean he made Reggie look like he didnt belong in the NFL
Gotta be Drew Pearson, the OG 88 and Bullet Bob the OG 22!Which 88? Which 22?
I assume you are talking about Irving and Emmitt, which are the biggest names with those numbers, but there are some earlier Cowboys with those numbers that some could possibly view as favorites
Yep. I assume considerably more fans would pick Irvin and Emmitt over those guys, but some older fans might not.Gotta be Drew Pearson, the OG 88 and Bullet Bob the OG 22!

You mean people wouldn't have selected Reggie Rucker or Ron Sellers and Victor Scott?
Again you can keep saying that and everyone can keep telling you he had just as good a line had good RB's and good stats but couldn't advance in the playoffs with the same lame arse head coach....... you can scream anything you want it doesn't make it true he had a HOF WR and TE 2 HOF OL wth are you talking about???
im pretty sure he had a top 3 offense in the league...he didn't do that with JAG's
It was a top 3 passing offense. The drafting stunk and there's no way in hell he had just as good of a line or running game. They brought in Tyron Smith when Romo was 32 years old. Before that.. garbage. Or aging linemen on the verge of retirement. Saying he had just as good of a line and RB is hilarious at this point. Jerry's decision making after Parcells left ruined this team and Romo. The Garrett/Phillips hires, the Williams trade, the special teams draft? A team that should've been good for a few years went south faster than you can blink. By the Minnesota playoff game less than 3 years after BP they were pure crap. After that fast forward 5 years to when he was 34 to talk about Murrays 1 good year.
love me some Victor Scott. You mean people wouldn't have selected Reggie Rucker or Ron Sellers and Victor Scott?
