Ramsey sold the push off and got the call. If he doesn't jerk his head/shoulders back, there's no flag.

What's funny though is that in this GIF, it's Gallup who is initiating contact to slow Ramsey. Ramsey only gets a hand on Gallup AFTER Gallup's already been touching him. He doesn't lock up Gallup's arm to boot. So how do you call this?

I don't think you can argue PI for either play. Seemed like they both were hand checking.........

Although Gallup did extend it wasn't enough in my book to call a penalty. There was hand play between the two that whole route.

Even if it is technically a penalty, it's still the wrong call. The answer is SO EASY.

Orlovsky is also an idiot, because the separation occurred when Ramsey flopped.

Orlovsky got is completely wrong and it is the reason why so many calls are blown. He said "suddenly there was separation and the refs have to ask why". This is how mistakes are made. The refs have to see the infraction. If a guy falls to the ground, it is not necessarily because he was held or tripped. It could be he just fell.

But I do think he got it right that the reason they called OPI is because the saw separation. They saw Ramsey throw his arms up in the air and they saw Gallup has his arm out and assumed it must be a push-off. They did not see his hand and arm against Ramsey to cause the separation.

Don't ya love refs who make calls based on speculation instead of observation?
