there is no panic here just that reality has set in that this is a average team with a average qb and average coaching

maybe the realty in fans heads not actual real reality's, one game doesnt show a teams or coaches ability..one fn game ..

Herman's head football fans reality vs false expectations and reactions after one 3 point loss on the road with no off season.. right that reality, those fans might want to get some meds to separate the real from the fantasy....

If Jerruh has proven anything over the last 25 years he has shown us that he builds teams that get stronger as the season progresses. Stay strong people. Believe in Jerruh.

Still think we get into the playoffs only to lose in the first round

After one game and a 3 point loss under a new coaching staff? Who would actually be silly enough to panic?

The defense has been bad for what...……...15 years pretty much? It was bad last year. Players are actually worse this year. How many games do you have to see to figure out the D is the same or worse?

Now onto the offense. The Oline is in shambles which is the key to offensive success. Still nothing?

So why watch? All this gloom and doom can’t be good for you.

I think we’re gonna roll. Now if Tyron can’t play it will be close game.

tyrons always playing with aches and pains I’m shocked it happened so soon

..Look..no matter what the Boys only lost by 3 points...no blowout...in fact they almost pulled out a road win against a seasoned opponent!...and that's without any extra training camp for all the new staff...no pre-season games whatsoever...I actually saw this road game against the Rams as a loss when I first saw the schedule...I also expected them to take at least 4 games to get their team and coaching act together...Now the injuries could change everything I admit...but it's way to early to be talking about "firing" anyone...We'll all know their season's fate by mid season IMO.:star:

I think even if they go 6-10 it’d be too soon to fire anyone (Obvouosly MM is safe, I mean position coaches). This board thinks Madden is a good replication of real football.

Doesn’t take preseason, OTAs to get ready and injuries don’t matter with a new coaching staff that’s only had 3 weeks to prepare because the Eagles won 2 years ago with a better QB as their backup.

My favorite is that both DT spots are interchangeable like they are in Madden. No regard for difference between 1T and 3T. This is exacerbated by the Mike Fishers of the world.

I said in August and I’ll say now, this year is not totally indicative of what a team is or isn’t. There’s obviously meaningful results that come out of this year but as long as it’s a once a generation type season, it needs to be put in context.

This team would have been in a better position the first 8 games with the old coaching staff. That’s really not debatable when you figure McCarthys staff was able to watch film on starters from last year and the backups got even fewer reps than normal in camp this year with lack of prep time. But now 6 injuries down with possibly Tyron as a 7th and he’s not only having to evaluate new schemes with players he somewhat thinks he knows, he’s now incorporating 7 players no one thought would play much, including a guy that most didn’t even know was on the team a week ago (Steele).

We’re numb after all of these years. That’s why you see “it’s one game” threads. We’re used to losing.
About 2008, after so many years of Jerry BS and disappointing losses, I adopted a philosophy that I still use: I love the Cowboys and want them to win- BUT- I will believe it when it happens. After 25 years of this sh&*, that remains my stance.
