OL is a mess

OL is a mess, of course injuries. but we started two UDFAs at tackle....one of them a rookie. Williams sucks. I wanted to defend him, but man he is all over the place and obviously a weak link on the OL. its result of bad draft by Jerry, not moving up to grab Dallas Goedert (still stings).....at some point he has to get replaced, perhaps by biadasz or McGovern.....looney is just ok, but makes too many mental mistakes.

not sure how long this OL can keep it up like this, as DCs will figure out the weak links and attack it relentlessly....

I am not sure why we haven’t tried someone in Williams’ spot at G. But Zack Martin hasn’t looked all that this year either. Not sure why is going on with that.

As a person who gave up after that first half, I would disagree and give major kudos to the OLine and coaching staff for the adjustments that were made. With the injuries and sudden retirement of Frederick, I have to say they adjusted very well and did a damn good job throughout the entire 2nd half. Remember when we had a backup RT in the game and he allowed 6-7 sacks? That didn't fly today - and hats off to McCarthy/Moore for ensuring that isn't what we're talking about right now.

Our offense held up well enough for us to score 40 points in 3 quarters (and the first quarter wasn't really their fault either). That without our two starting offensive tackles... yeah I will take it.
