Since when is Clay not a linebacker??? Yeah he knows how to come off the edge and get sacks but that doesnt mean he isnt a linebacker?? I would gladly take a "washed" Clay over Jaylon any day of the week. The man just had 8 sacks last year. Theres no doubt in my mind that he could come in and be more physical, fast, and instinctive than what Jaylon is and i think that at this point thats all us cowboys fans are asking for. The feel good story for Jaylon is over. Its time to produce or get off the field!

I can't say I watched Matthews a lot last year, but how has his play dropped if he is washed? Was some of his sacks off blown blocking assignments?

I said the same thing yesterday. Outside of Diggs and Woods our DB are awful. To run a 3-4 we need new LB's Jaylon Smith has no lateral movement and no football IQ. LVE is injury prone we have no pass rushing OLB's and trying to turn old DE into an OLB just doesn't work. To go back to a 3-4 defense is going to require draft capital if we where rebuilding I'm OK with this but we aren't

What is it about ET that we don’t know because it “appears” to be a fit for us at this time that we could use.

Not something we don’t know, more to do with Jerrahs ego. He passed on ET twice before, going for him now would be a sign of desperation and after the improbable win against Atlanta, jerrahs most likely dreaming super...
