why is it that KC INSTANTLY became one of the best teams in the NFL as soon as Mahomes took over.

Rosters are all pretty close to equal in the NFL... just use the bell shaped curve..... then the one piece to the puzzle that instantly separates teams, is the qb. Avg qb, means you mostly have an avg team. It is what it is no matter how much you wat to talk about the team game.

Why didn't Romo take us to the Super Bowl??? You going to blame the whole thing on Romo's head like you want to do to Dak? Romo was a good QB, but at times he was running for his life behind a less than stellar OL, plus they frequently had an inadequate defense. Remember when Jerry stated we didn't need a better OL because Romo was a mobile QB? With a better team around him he would've taken the Cowboys to a Super Bowl.
And no I'm not comparing Dak to Romo. Dak has his issues, and I'm waiting to see how he fares this year.
But if anyone tried dumping the same arguments on Romo that Dak's haters do today, Romo's defenders would've been ready for war.
You can't dump the whole team's faults on the QB no matter who the team is.

Dak is not elite. Mahomes is not only elite, he's in a class by himself. But he wasn't the only addition to KC. You're forgetting Andy Reid.

The first game by Dak, and the Cowboys, no more tells us what either will do from here on out than this game does. Dak isn't going to throw for 400-plus yards a game on average, isn't going to run for 3 tds, either. Team isn't going to score 40 pts a game on average, or 17 pts a game.

Let's treat this game the same as the first - on its own merits, and as part of an ongoing development of the team. Enjoy the win for a couple of days, then move on to the next.

Of course I can extend my enjoyment for another day, with the Saints' loss last night,

reliable? not sure what that means either....on Sunday he led a 20 point come back. used all his recivers, with a patched up OL, that had two UDFA starting with combined experience of 1 year. sunday my concern wasn't the offense, but the defense. they kept me on the edge. same against the rams, giving up big play after big play.

and you do know he has had the highest number of comeback since 2016......

if anything, I wanted to lean on the offense to pull this game as I didn't trust the defense could. meaning the last drive of the game our offense being on the field to make a play than defense being on the field to make a play

we can just wait and see. but my concern is still defense. they are below average and in key areas are awful. 1st down percentage...we are pretty bad. among the worst in percentage of drives ending in score....net yards gained per pass attempt, only 2 sacks, which is really bad. among the worst in percentage of drives ending in offensive turnover, which means teams are sustaining drives and converting to first downs....

Im not forgetting Andy Reid. He took over in KC in 2013... yes TWENTY THIRTEEN. The Chiefs were nothing more than a solid team.. but NEVER were they winning a SB until when?
Romo was very good but was he a Peyton manning? Drew Brees? Tom Brady? because guess what QBs dominated the SB winning team landscape? Sure, you can get an avg Joe win it all, but the odds are overwhelmingly stacked in the ELITE qbs team favor.

I dont want to hear jack about Reid. How great was reid once McNabb got old in Philly? He SUCKED... thats why he got canned. Harbaugh is solid, but how much has Baltimore elevated as a team with Lamar running things?

Reid bought a lottery ticket and struck it rich. Drafting QBs is a crapshoot. Looks like AZ has hit paydirt, but they drafted a QB in back to back years with a top 5 pick to do so. They struck out with the first one.

It's the combo of a coach who puts his QB in the best position to succeed and a QB who consistently produces. Lamar wouldn't work w/ most HC's. They'd get him killed.
