Things I've said in the past few seasons:

-Zeke is one cupcake away from being a fullback
-Explosion is gone
-Can't make dudes miss at the 2nd level
-All that mileage caught up to him
-This is why you don't pay RB's

But rookie Zeke is BACK. The initial burst, the explosion. It's there again. And I'm surprised as hell, because when RB's rack up the mileage and the burst starts to fade....it's usually downhill from there, but Zeke took this off-season seriously.

And something I've always given him credit for, but even more so now with all the injuries around the league (McCaffrey, Barkley, Mostert, Mack, etc..)

Dude is durable as hell. He's a tank.

Oh and he does this:

Sorry Zeke. Dude's worth every penny.

The last one in this clip is the one I remember most from the game. He starts in the gap between LG/LT, recognizes the LT is beaten outside and jump cuts to block so Dak can make the sideline completion to Gallup there. It's 1st and 10 almost at the 2 minute warning there. If that play ends in a sack the game is probably over.

Urban Meyer said Elliott was the best player without the ball he's ever seen play. He is a more powerful back than Emmitt but cut from that same "great in every aspect of the position".

The criticism he receives here for tapping out is wrong because of the type game he plays. He doesn't take plays off and when he feels his battery needs charging to continue to play at that level, he takes care of that. He should be commended for tying to keep himself at peak performance.

I didn't want them to acquiesce when he held out but he's one player that they're getting their money's worth on.

Skip Bayless is that you?? Lol. Zeke is a monster. And he sets the tone on the field. And definitely is the best player in the field, when he is on it.

This is the best version of Zeke we've seen yet imo. Even the patience he runs with.

How is he back? Last game he averaged 4.0 yard per carry on 22 carries, 5.5 yard per reception on 6 catches and fumbled twice losing one of them. He had one great TD maul but then was so bad at getting in the endzone that Dak had to do it for him 3 times from short. He also didn't go anywhere on the two point conversion run.

The offense basically has to drive the ball inside the 5 yardline for him to score and even then he doesn't do a good job.

First game looked good, but this was back to the same plodding, Zeke we have grown accustomed to.

Sorry, but Zeke isn't close to worth what we are paying him.

And FYI....………..no one is buying that you are a Zeke hater. What did you login as someone else? Pathetic.

I watched Jacobs and Kamara last night wishing they were our back the whole time. Kamara turns 2 yard catches into 20 yarders. Zeke turns 2 yard catches into 5 yard catches.

I find it hilarious that anyone ever doubted our best player at anytime...

Could you imagine this place at the time when Emmitt was drafted, and in the early years of Jimmy?

I remember a game against to old Houston Oilers, Emmitt ran well. Game went into OT. Cowboys driving for a game winning FG. Emmitt fumbles as they were nearing FG range.
Houston goes on to win. Imagine this place.

*I'll not go the "worth every penny" route with ya,BUT the Man ran it hard& I saw a faint semblance of his rookie debut season ( in the 1st quarter) trucking w/ full head of steam and them shoulders set square& set high, barreling on upfield in full bore fashion, like a flagship leading the fleet*

*I faintly recollect a brief " news blurt" then *poof* nothing else/ follow up concerning it*
