1. If you do not get satisfactory line play, you cannot win on that side of the ball. Right now we do not have good line play on either side of the ball. So it is impossible to evaluate the play of the other non-line players. Don’t be so ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater, on the “non-line” players.

2. We have some decent depth at DE. We could flip a DE player for a pick before the trade deadline, or we could keep what we have at DE and stand pat at DE next year.

3. I’m not convinced that we can’t get adequate play out of our linebackers.

4. I don’t know how the injuries we have sustained can be overlooked regarding the team’s performance. It’s hard to evaluate coaching when teams don’t have good players. The Hoodie was fired from Cleveland, initially, if I am not mistaken.

5. The people who want this team to intentionally tank are going to be disappointed. We might unintentionally tank, so if that is what you are wanting, that’s about the best you can hope for.

6. Our chances of getting the number one pick are not worth calculating.

7. This might be the worst year to have a high draft position. The talent evaluation process is probably going to be very suspect. Very good players will slide in this upcoming draft.

8. The team is playing some REALLY PUTRID FOOTBALL right now. However I refuse to believe that we do not have enough good players to regroup fairly quickly next year if our players come back healthy next year.

9. Dak is an adequate QB and we will probably re-sign him, even if we have to overpay him. Dak may end up appreciating the Cowboys’ willingness to pay him in spite of his injury.

10. Planning for Tyron to return next year and start is no plan at all.

11. They better find another couple of hungry, dominant, angry DTs, to add to the fold. Anything less is a fail.

12. I kept telling you guys that Jeff Heath was a better player than some of you thought he was. Heath is an upgrade over anything we have put on the field this year at safety.

Some great points. It baffles me how many ppl can’t believe we’re bad right now. Can any team be competitive with 45% of their salary cap on IR? I mean you at least need a your QB to have any hope.

With all the half hearted effort you see from supposed team leaders like Jaylon and DLaw I'm not sure they need to tank. They seem to be losing just fine at this point

DLaw was a HORRIBLE contract. The best that we can hope for is to get some return on our investment. Maybe have him get on a hot streak a year or two from now and get a few sacks and flip him for picks. That guy has done zero since he got paid. That’s not a coincidence.

I agree with #8. If Dak comes back and the OL can stay healthy , we will have a good offense. They should invest in a young LT in mid rounds , other than that use premium picks for DEF. I’m not opposed to calling the jets and offering them our comp 3rd for DT Williams. I’d even throw in any DB except diggs or Pollard.

I mean, I don’t know what you saw but I see DLAW going all out. He had an excellent game today. He isn’t worth his contract but he’s definitely worth 2nd tier edge money. He never gives half hearted effort. Don’t mix him up with other guys.

Fair enough, maybe I am looking more at results as in number of sacks and QB pressures but it sure doesn't seem as if he's contributing very much

He had a sack , 3 QB hits, two tackles for loss today. He played well. I understand you’re frustrated. Fans also need to keep in mind it’s almost impossible to pass rush when through 7 games the cowboys have lead for less than 8 minutes lol.

this team was built one way... the plan was to take leads with the offense, then let the pass rushers rush when we had leads. Plan obviously didn’t work but that’s how this team was built.

I think that's the problem, there always seem to be issues with the way this team is built.

There really is no such thing as tanking aside from selling off your roster which they haven't done.

Give me the highest draft position regardless of the difficulty of evaluation, if you can regroup like the 2016 draft you have a shot at having a good year next season.

I've said it a million times. The game is won in the trenches. Both need fixed, starting in about 4 months.

We may be the worst coached team I've seen in years.
That needs to be addressed before this team and players can be evaluated . Granted there are some players who just need to go. But young guys on the lines need coaching period

Keeping Tyron on the roster is fine, but assuming he will play is not. We need to be looking for his replacement with a serious sense of urgency.
