What lessons?

Which lessons?

Who is teaching and who is learning?

Well..

Given this season and how this team has made so many changes and have crashed and burned..

the main lesson is..

Are we going to stop putting all our eggs in one basket and pray the sky will not fall?

Are we going to populate the defense with castoffs and overpaid marquee players like Jaylon and Tank and implode our season year after year due to some injuries or cheap guys who can't play anymore?

And are we going to invest $100s of millions in guys like Dak, Zeke, Amari and Tyron Smith just to watch them not be able to carry us anymore?

Will we spread the money better and build a well rounded team that if a few guys go down we are still competitive?

Depth and fiscally sound planning instead of binge shopping and overspending?

Becuz this is again what needs to be understood.

Jerrah may or may not want to change. But change we must if we are ever going to enjoy watching this team again.

Big Mike is the leader of the band that was made for you and me.

Has he really got the juice for this?

Lessons lessons lessons.

Never too old to learn..right Jerrah boy?

Unlikely to happen as long as Jerry rules.
After 25 years why do you expect something different?

jerry's shortcomings are not a product of lack of learning. they're a product of extreme obtuseness and an overbearing ego. those traits serve him well in business dealings which are more about money, but fail him when dealing with football players and coaches who also can be obtuse and overbearing. winning teams have a hc that won't take a lot of crap from his players and who has the authority to do something about such behavior should it become necessary. is mac that guy? i don't know yet. and fyi, the sky cannot fall. but it could float away under the right conditions.

Eggs in one basket... is that supposed to be Dak? If so NO team goes into the season with 2 number 1 QBs and is successful.

Jerry, as the GM, surely cannot live forever but when he's dead and gone, son Stephen may still be around.

Would he be willing to hire a GM or would he follow in his dad's footsteps and claim that title for himself?

I hope it's the latter. It could easily make a big difference for the Cowboys organization and the team.

How do you have a problem with Tyron and his contract? I am pretty sure every team in the league would take that deal and him when they signed him, and still take it today.

Dlaw is playing good.

Oops, in that last sentence, I meant to say "I hope it's the former." -- God forbid that it'd be the latter!

Sorry, I wouldn't blame you for deleting that "like," Redball . . . ;)

Feel free to switch it to this one, tho! :D

I'm in a glass fully empty mood so no, lessons not learned.
When Jerry dies or turns it over to Stephen little if anything will change. There will likely be some insignificant changes but who do you think Stephen learned the trade from?
Stephen will be Owner/GM, lather, rinse repeat. No soup for you.
It's a cash money business, winning playoff games is a distant 2nd.

You can't imagine the lessons that can be learned on ayahuasca.
It's... pretty cool.

The puking sucks though.
Reminds me of peyote.
Try the carlos castaneda learning method.
