When Mayock/Gruden hired marinellini Guenther must have known this was possible. Probably not a great situation for him all year.

Its kind of how I saw some people mentioning wade phillips coming here as the DC next year, if you are mccarthy there is no way you could agree to that because you know they have a relationship already and if it goes south jerry could put wade into your spot during the year and be comfortable.

Nolan should have been fired weeks ago, but no, we have Jerry NOT making that decision.

Opposite for Jerry/Wade.
Jerry never saw Wade as a long term HS and wouldn't promote him.
Wade is likely OK with that given his comments about the Cowboys defense and such.

But yea Rod was always going to get promoted in Oakland... question is should we look at Guenther.

That is a coach that has a prototype and he will take worse players if they don't fit his prototype..

Those are the worst coaches IMO.

I understand wanting scheme fits but sometimes you have to fit your scheme to those players.

I understood why they took Taco. I even was even willing to be patient and give him 3 years because it's such a tough position.

Eventually though while we're waiting on Taco it gets hard to watch TJ Watt just dominate.
