This place would be erupting right now

This type of thing is only a big deal when it happens to a NY area darling...we will hear about the “Poor Giants” for the next couple days on all the national TV and radio shows. Had Dallas won yesterday, NOBODY nationally would have came to our defense....they would all be laughing.

Maybe he got a call from Howie Roseman

This was planned between the two before the game started. Roseman has all the power in the Eagles organisation, Pederson at this stage is just grateful to still have a job

I’m certainly glad we ended up with the 10th pick rather than the 13th. Having such an awful year and not having a top 10 pick would have been tough to take.
Is there any confidence that JJ will get it right in the draft? Tell him to turn the TV off before he declares Trey Sermon as his 1st pick.

Reading all the bs out there in the media this am, they are trying to defend Philly ....such a crock of crap, never seen a more blatant tank job in my life

It’s this kind of crap that is turning people off from football in general...not the tanking As much as the bs acting like they weren’t tanking....why else do you pull your dynamic and when you are within one score with over a quarter to go.

Gotta be sick to be a Giants fan right now lol
Or for the last seven years or so...
I still think NY is the worst team in the division and might still be next year.

What the eagles coach did was a SMART move for numerous reasons.

First off, Wentz is gone next year. Secondly, the game means nothing to the eagles and they wanted to save their new QB something stupid going into next year because the Eagles knew about losing a good QB from one stupid play. Third, it was brilliant because they actually had an excuse.

Here's the deal, the NFC east is the garbage pit in the NFL.

You want to win your division, how about actually going out and win more games than your opponent. Don't be stuck with more losses than wins and complain about what other teams do.

DALLAS HAD THEIR OWN FUTURE IN THEIR HANDS AND HAS NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES FOR THE GAME LAST SUNDAY NIGHT.

Yeah Dallas has no one to blame but themselves

but the move to bench hurts in a one score game when he is by far your best qb on the roster in lieu of playing a back up to “see what he has” shows he didn’t care about winning “that” game....there is literally no disputing that at all....and that’s the definition of tanking.

you can sugar coat it by saying it was smart, but it was blatant disregard for trying to win and yes it is a legit excuse....but everyone and their brother knows why they did it.

So what? It WAS the smart move.

The added reality is the game was a shitefest, prime example of the NFC east.

How many teams fans are / were sceaming to tank for lawence, the Eagles coach put in a different QB in the 4th quarter in the LAST game of the season, and the game actually gets you more if you lose than win, and the guy / team is getting crucified over it?

The Commanders were pathetic at 7 and 9. What's that make the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles? Heck, even up to about a week ago, the Eagles (who are at the bottom of the heap) had a chance to WIN the division.

The only thing the Eagles did was give people and newsmakers at least a alittle more reason to talk about a wasted division in the NFL right now.

They are roasting Peterson bad on every talk show there is. It kind of eases the disappointment a little for Cowboys fans not having to watch them tank if Dallas had beaten the Giants. Pure tank job. Peterson has lost a lot of respect around the league.

It didn’t happen to Dallas, and I think this place is almost erupting anyway.

I'm glad this happened to the Giants and not us, but no one with a losing record has any right to complain.

What Philadelphia did yesterday is not sports. The league needs a draft lottery. The integrity of the sport is not there anymore.

That's absolute hogwash.

Exactly how many fans wanted their teams to "tank for trevor"?

Philly took out what appears to be their starting QB in the last quarter of the last game in the season where the game had absolutely no negative implications to the team playing switched QB's. That QB (who was taken out in the fourth) wasn't having a stellar day, and the irony is the team that Philly played sucks as well. One could argue, the team actually gained a positive from the one single loss being the last game of the year by improving their draft pick. If MM would of been in the same boat, I think any decent head coach would of done the same thing. Perhaps it's decreasing your odds of winning the game, but you're not throwing the game away by far by a last quarter QB switch.

What wasn't sporting was MM no challenging the catch and even the announcers saying it wasn't a catch. Someone should lose their jobs under Jones for that fiasco. That one stupid non action taken by the cowboys would of of given you more room to feel "dissed" by the eagles.

https://sports.yahoo.com/critical-n...iminated-cowboys-from-playoffs-225453210.html

As someone else here mentioned, if you have a losing record, you have no right to complain if you don't get into the playoffs with someone else "not" helping you when you didn't win enough to do it on your own.

I'd feel that way about ANY team.

Had we won earlier today.

Eagles literally gave that game to Washington lol

Glad we lost and MM was a spineless idiot for not challenging that catch.

We could have won and been drafting much later at 7-9.

See....there is some good things that come with losing.

Because he benched his god awful QB who was 7/20 for 70 yards? Hurts is not a good QB. Wentz wants out and will be traded. He wanted to see what elese he had to work with in a real game situation. If Hurts is their qB for the future, I will feel really good as a Dallas fan. He isn't good and is the worst QB in the division right now.

I have no idea why people are up in arms about Hurts being replaced. He wasn't good last night and has not been good in his starts. Dallas gave him every chance to win the game last week and he failed over and over. His only win was against a Taysom Hill led Saints team and even that was a struggle.

The whole narrative that they tanked is so overblown. You would have thought Tom Brady was benched last night. Hurts looked as bad as DiNucci did last night.

The idea is good in theory but i don't trust the NFL to not manipulate the results.

Yeah but Boys shouldn't have got swept by WFT and Giants should have won more than 6 games. WFT earned their spot.
No technically the Giants won that spot. They won 6 contested games and had the tiebreaker over Washington. Washington won 6 and the 7th was a gift.

well the browns got free pass from the steelers sitting everyone in game the browns needed to get in the playoffs.. the browns beat the Steelers backups by what a FG>? now they get to see the Steelers real team first, dont think PB didnt plan this, not really fair to whomever didnt make it because PB rested their players and understandably so, the browns break their no playoffs since 2002 playing backups team in the finally..

its happen.. all the while the Bills played their starters to beat MIA who could have made it..its sports
